  1. Now the first thing I wanted to do was to hit Le Bistro and see if I could change the 9pm reservation I had for the 2nd night to something earlier.

^What is the best way to get a reservation for Le Bistro upon boarding the ship? Will somebody be at Le Bistro even though it isn't open? Guest services? Using the phone reservation number? Thank you in advance for your feedback!

  2. We have a reservation with Colin Jennings for August 16th. The Dawn is now arriving two hours later than scheduled and I emailed Colin with that information asking if it is going to be a problem. It has been over a week and I have sent him two emails but I have not gotten a response from him. Has anyone had a problem recently contacting Colin? I don't know if I should try to find someone else or hope that he shows up.

We were in Bermuda last week and had a tour scheduled with Mr. Jennings for Friday, August 7. I heard from another tour guide on Wednesday when we arrived in Bermuda that Mr. Jennings hasn't been feeling well but would send somebody in his place if he couldn't make it. On Friday, he sent another tour guide named Millard. There will be other taxi tour guides holding signs trying to get business if Mr. Jennings doesn't make it or send somebody. I was disappointed that we didn't have Mr. Jennings since I had heard so many wonderful things about him- hope he is feeling better!

  3. We just got back from Grandeur of the Seas and took a private tour of Bermuda with Colin Jennings - the tour was 5 hours and cost $50 per hour for 1-4 people. It was just my husband and myself and he did an outstanding job. Met us at the pier on time. He was so knowledgeable about the island. He took us to places that we wanted to go as well. I would highly recommend him. He can be reached by email at colinjenningstaxi <colinjenningstaxi@yahoo.com>.

I am touring with Mr. Jennings next Friday. Unfortunately, we have to cut it short since the ship is leaving Bermuda earlier than originally planned. He couldn't start earlier so we have him for four hours. Will it be worth it and will we see much in that length of time. I am nervous about getting back to the ship but he said it wouldn't be a problem even with the ship's departure time change. Any thoughts/ advice?

  4. This will affect my plans for the day of departure since I booked a taxi tour for the day. I'm sure others have booked private excursions that will be affected. Some of the NCL excursions that were leaving at 1:00 for four hours will be affected too. I would understand if they change with future cruises with enough time to adjust plans but not after final payment. We are cruising Aug. 2 and wouldn't have thought to check itinerary if I wasn't following on cruise critic. Thanks for all of the information on these forums!

  5. I live on the coast of North Carolina and there has been a lot of shark activity close to shore on the beaches with several attacks/bitings. Have there been any shark attacks reported in Bermuda recently?

  6. I am confused about seating for Cirque on Breakaway.... I booked the only seating offered which was standard. I called NCL to inquire. I was told that standard is 47ish dollars now and premium is 95ish dollars. She said there is balcony seating and that is the premium seating. She also said we are in a booth with standard. Then she said to come early for best seats. How bad are the booth seats and are all standard seats booth seats? Is it worth it to try to upgrade to premium once on the ship (there are no premium seats left for prebooking)? Thanks for any clarification and insight for good seats.

  8. Mking8288- Thank you so much! I called and you are correct. The angled room is a Haven. I had also wondered about being so far forward but with all of the food we will be exposed to the walking sounds like a plus especially if it is a quiet area. I don't think I will try to find different cabins after your positive input.
