  1. I just happened to be looking at a site like that...how could you possibly not love such a fine product! :p It floats and "ant-fungal" too!

"It floats, it's stylish and it's fun. This visor, made from a material similar to a popular fashion clog, is the durable visor to wear at the beach or anywhere, even in the rain because it's waterproof. Perfect for getting your message across with your customized logo. Features an adjustable strap that fits all sizes. Made out of ant-fungal material that can be cleaned with water and soap. Price includes a four color Imprint, one location. Additional locations are an added cost. Please call for more details."

  2. Those calling cheers will do anything to make something wrong look right. Its not misleading...it is an outright lie. If they want to RECOMMEND a certain time for all the reasons noted above, that is what they should state. If they will ACTUALLY start earlier, they should give the details noting it depends on circumstances. They actually do this somewhat in the FAQs. People plan their days based on information they get. If they want to get there early to get good parking and "free" lunch, they need to be told that could happen if circumstances permit. Otherwise they may need to pay late check out at the hotel, or find something else to do including buying lunch. I once showed up in New Orleans at 1:30 and had a heck of a time finding parking in the garage and I'll never do that again. This is like a retail store opening at 10 but telling folks not to bother showing up until 2. Not going to happen. No other business lies like this...why does Carnival get away with it?

  3. FWIW, I could not find the above info in FAQ's either

Thanks! I checked the invoice and even though these 2 b2b cruises were booked at the same time, one final payment date is July 21 and the other is Aug 1. Won't ask why that is! ;)

  4. What exactly would I need to search for to find:

    What deposits are required

How many and what amounts of payments are required after deposits are made

When exactly is the final payment due?

Anyone who can answer these, that would be great, but I have never been able to find this all important information on the website, and would like to know how to actually find it. I have a cruise booked now with 126 days to sailing and I paid the deposits to get it started. I have always paid in full at booking before, but this was a b2b and really did not want to put that much out up front so thought I would give payments a try to see how it works. Not seeing much help from the website at all. Thanks

  5. To all those so worried about the 5 inches of dust comment...it does not say it was 5 inches thick. Are the tvs not at least 12 inches high by 12 inches wide? If there was enough space to write two names in the dust, I highly suspect there was at least 5 inches of space dusty enough to allow this. I totally believe the comment looking at it in this manner. I tend to question the credibility of those who immediately find a comment they may not fully understand and harp on it to try to dispel what the OP is saying. I had no problem with any of his comments...I don't believe anyone who is looking for objective information about a cruise would question the comments made, and I personally appreciate hearing these types of comments in preparation for my next cruise. It certainly doesn't waste my time.

  6. Here is the reason people remove their tips...per Carnival Policy..."Once gratuities have been posted, you may adjust them at your discretion at any time while onboard. Gratuities will be deemed undisputed unless a request to modify is received prior to disembarking the ship."

Quite simply, it is their discretion to do so! They don't have to give a reason...and they certainly don't have to tell anyone at Cruise Critic or anyone else why. All of the "expert opinions" on this board could be, and are likely to be completely wrong. The fault is Carnival's. Same policy says tips for cruises to nowhere and those for Barbados are automatically added and paid during the booking process. They could do the same for all other cruises if they wanted to. They could also take the "discretion" away if they wanted to. Why don't you ask Carnival why they are creating this controversy and treat different cruises in different ways? If you want to talk cheap, let's talk about people smuggling booze on the ship. Doing that also affects tips, as the 15% added to bar drinks does not get paid when these people smuggle. No one seems to care about that.
