  1. Can anyone give their experience on booking Carnival's shore excursion Berlin by train including Sachsenhausen Camp from Warnemunde? Looks like it might be a chartered train with no AC? Were there bathrooms onboard, what was the meal/snacks, were you able to see all the sights or was it a very quick driveby in a bus once you reached Berlin vs walking tour? Would you recommend or not and why? Any and all info you can provide on Carnival's excursion, an outside tour operators bus tour of the same, or taking the non-chartered train on your own to Berlin to only do some sights in Berlin (not including Sachsenhausen Camp) would be greatly appreciated.

We'll be on the 7/1 Pride cruise. In Skjolden, I'd love to see Urnes Stave Church, but haven't found an easy way to get to it.

Were you able to find a tour operator to get to Urnes? Struggling with what to do in this port!

  3. Wondering if anyone has done the shipwreck snorkel tour and if so, how was it? How does it compare to any other place you've ever snorkeled? Ie Cozumel, St. thomas, Australia, etc. etc. THANKS

sure, if Cheers was enough spend-if I remember correctly the last offer I had (it was a while ago) I had to spend $750.

I'd like to use the current $100 to get back $35 with Chase, but I currently have more than enough gift cards to pay off my cruise

I have multiple $35 off $100 with Chase. But the website is not allowing gift card purchases to go through. Thus the reason to buy Cruise Cash and not just Cheers package (which you can't buy with multiple cc's like you can split a deposit or cruise fare. Amex promos were for cruise fare only and would not have worked with Cheers or excursions. They are expired and gone anyway.

  5. Thanks all. I was told by Carnival rep that I could pre-buy the cruise cash, and it loads onto the account and you can pre-purchase excursions, drink package, etc. BEFORE you cruise. If this worked, I would get 35% discount by purchasing cruise cash with certain credit card offers (which expire before sailing), and also get the 10% discount of purchasing Cheers package pre-sail. So, yes, in my opinion, it'd be worth it IF it worked that way! 🙂

Have you tried getting the discounted gift cards thru AARP?  They are $450 for a $500 card or $90 for a $100.

Last time I bought some for a Mardi Gras sailing in September they were almost instantly printed, not sent USPS.

Trying to get $100 gift cards with a $35 back promo from Chase bank.

Just make sure your TA pays Royal directly, not ABC Travel Agency.  Why not just go into your cruise planner and purchase these things?  It doesn't have to be one transaction for the offer.

Because I want it applied towards my balance which needs to be paid through the TA and just a little something extra to put me over $1500. I don't want to purchase additional $1500 worth of extra items right now on the cruise planner. Having a friend use their offer for me so want it easy for them.
