You technically only need the birth certificate for the boat, but if you needed to fly home in an emergency you would need a passport. For that reason, we decided to get passports.
It took about 3 weeks to get ours, maybe? Well before the 6 week time frame the website gave.

We plan on doing a island tour with Captain Marvins that takes us to the turtle farm. Our 3 year old is excited to see and touch turtles. Then we are heading to the beach.

We'll be celebrating on our upcoming cruise and I was wondering if the cake was worth it. Is it significantly better than the free desserts?

We're taking an rcl excursion to Reggae Hill. It was one of the few that didn't have age restrictions.

We're sailing on RCL in a couple months. Before kids, DH and I enjoyed having one dinner in the steakhouse. Once you have kids, how do you make this work? The kids club being closed during dinner hours is tripping me up.
Do you do a late dinner when the kids club reopens at 7? And order room service for the kids to eat before you drop them off?
Any experiences or tips you have to share would be great. Thanks!

Can anyone who has taken the RCL excursion to Chankanaab tell me how they transport you? We're traveling with babies so we need car seats if it isn't a bus. Thanks!

I'm interested in this as well, especially the question of whether this would be a good excursion with young children.

they are a type of van not sold in the US . . . . but very common in the 'islands'
" Buses are minibuses up to 12 passengers"

The bus terminal is located adjacent the Public Library on Edward St. in downtown George Town and serves as the dispatch point for buses to all districts. There are 38 mini-buses operated by 24 licensed operators, serving eight routes. Daily service starts at 6 a.m. from the depot
Licensed buses are identified by blue licence plates. To maintain consistency in fares, each bus must display a fare table outlining standard government-authorized fares.

Do they have seat belts to install car seats? Or are they like a US bus that wouldn't need a car seat?

I've seen lots of talk about the bus system on GC. Are they buses or passenger vans? We'll be traveling with 2 babies in our group and are not comfortable driving without car seats.
Thanks!

I looked on Google Maps because I thought the same thing. The distance from the Tourism Village to St. John's is a little less than a mile. As long as I don't have to jog, we should make it there and back just fine.

We don't have a planned excursion for our day in Belize. I came across this website that has a walking tour. http://www.belize-vacation.com/belize/belize_city.htm
Has anyone done anything like this, or something similar? Anything that is for sure a must-see, or a don't-waste-your-time?
Thanks!
RCL Chankanaab excursion transportation

They were passenger vans, not buses. We didn't have the car seats so we just held the babies. Not our first choice but we didn't know until the van pulled up what transportation would be like.
