  1. Thanks everybody. This is really helpful. I really want to try traditional dining but we do have excursions planned for each port. And my husband wants anytime because he wants to be able to eat when he is ready. He is worried about starving to death if we have to "wait" for our time. I don't think he understands how much food is available on a cruise ship. I doubt we will ever be hungry. lol. So I've heard. But is sounds like we will stick with anytime dining. It's our first cruise so we'll try it and see how we like it this time. Hopefully this won't be our only cruise!

  2. We are taking our first cruise in September on the Carnival Valor and I want opinions on what people think of each dining option. I like the flexibility of anytime dining because we want to go to shows and be active on the ship but will we be missing out on getting to know people on the ship? Is it nice to have the same waiter each night with the traditional dining options? Is the food quality/service any different between the two? My husband and I are in our late 20's. I'd like to hear other's experiences with each option. Thanks!
