  1. OK..We will be leaving out of San Juan in Sept. Have they started this there? We would like to do what we did last year which was check in at like 10:30 get our SS cards then head into town for the day we never boarded the ship until after 7pm. Will this mess that up? I will be fine with it if we can drop of the luggage to a porter and then head to town and come back to check in, but don't know if that is a option?

  2. I like Nationwide Choice or Luxury cruise plan. You don't have to purchase it until Final Payment Date as opposed to within a certain timeframe of putting your deposit down. We have also used TravelGuard when the kids were small because they were included at no additional cost.

But check out InsureMyTrip and compare the above policies side by side to see what works best for you.

you have been very helpful...THANK YOU its much appreciated

  3. Carnival's medical limit is pretty low. They will only cover up to the maximum. The rest will be the responsibility of the guest. That's why I don't buy my insurance through Carnival. Other companies have much better coverage.

Thank you so much for the reply.. Can I ask you what insurance you suggest? Sorry I haven't ever bought travel insurance so looking for ideas

  4. so what about injuries while on a cruise? My parents just had a friend that tripped while getting out of a cab in Sicily. He broke his Hip and his Shoulder as well as hit his head. He was taken to the hospital and was kept there for over a week and a half, had surgery on hip and then flown back to Texas with a dr. and taken to the hospital upon landing. My mom said that he did have the Carnival insurance and it was her understanding that they will pick up all the costs. Of course their friend has to pay upfront but that carnival is going to reimburse them the cost...Is this right? I have never gotten the insurance but am about to for our Cruise in September. I am learning a lot thru this thread so thank you all for the replies

  5. Hello Everyone,

Does anyone have any information on stateroom 11266 on the Dream? I have this cabin booked but cant find any info on it. I was told its a Spa balcony category room. Does that come with any perks from the spa? Pictures and/or general thoughts about this room would be very much appreciated.

  6. we will be on a 10 day cruise with 4 sea days and we will likely stay on the ship most of the day in Jamaica, so we are going to try the Cheers program for the first time.

My question is this. We have never had a issue getting a drink fast while by the pool. Does the bar staff or waiters frown on the cheers program? I want to make sure that they don't avoid the cheers people LOL

    Thanks everyone,

  7. Hello Friends,

I just booked a 10 day cruise on the dream cabin 11266. Any info on this cabin would be great and helpful. I thought that I read somewhere that with a spa balcony room you get a spa pass? What is a spa pass?

    Thanks everyone,

    Scott

  8. Hello friends,

I cant find any thing about what to do in Ocho Rrios Jamaica. We have been to Montego bay many times but not to Ocho Rios. What are your favorite things to do at this port?

    Thanks everyone,

  9. Please don't bring Andy Dalton with you! He'd miss the gangplank getting on the boat and cause a delay!

Man that was a bad bad night of football. We didn't look ready to play at all.

Thanks for reminding me LOL. We cruise in 2 days so I wont think much about my Be loved Bengals for a week or so.

  10. Ok got my first call today. Would you do this.

Ship- Valor out of San Juan
