No, not those ships only. The Victory and Conquest were also out of Miami. Port Canaveral had more than two ships. The 3 ships in Galveston are the only Carnival ships that sail from Galveston. It looks like Galveston is the only port that's business as usual as far as which ships are sailing.  I read the release as these are the ships that we're going to start sailing with. It's not all the ships in each port.

Thank you!  This is exactly what I was looking for.  So both ports & ships were limited.

Read the news release. Carnival lists which ships will be sailing.

I read the release and I understand which ships are cruising...my question was prior to the pause in cruising were there additional ships scheduled to cruise out of these specific ports or are the ships listed as cruising from these ports on 8/1 all the ships scheduled out of these ports?  Did they just limit it to ports or did they also further limit the ships selling out of these ports?  I'm not up on which ships are currently sailing from which locations.

It is $6.75 USD per child per hour plus 18 percent gratuity from 10 pm to 1 am....so basically would be $8 an hour per kid or $24 an hour for all of them for you.

Thank you - we were going with my MIL, but it now looks like she is backing out due to the Corona Virus, so looking at our other options.  $8.00 an hour per kid is very reasonable.

Luggage Valet is a program where you check your luggage straight thru to your airline. You wont see it until you arrive at your final destination.

It is port and airline specific

Oh -in all my cruises I've never used that feature.  The way everyone was talking about how awful I was like "are there no porters and we are required to carry all our luggage on" or what?

thanks everyone, I am going to concentrate on Royal Caribbean from now, Celebrity Casino Certificate was a disappointing scheme - you live and learn

I agree with everyone else - since Royal has changed their program it is relatively easy to earn a free cruise if you are a gambler.  I've got a free one on the Oasis in December, one in January on the Symphony (that's my gambling friend's free one) and I'm still sitting on an 8 day or less free one that I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze in before it expires in March.

  6. We were planning on going to Hawaii to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Our plan is to fly to Oahu on a Tuesday/Wednesday when flights are generally cheaper and stay in the Hilton Hawaii Village until the NCL cruise departs. Then do the cruise to island hop and see the other islands ending back in Oahu and leaving either Tuesday or Wednesday. I have a Hilton timeshare so that covers the hotel part and this way we get a broken up week to enjoy Oahu plus a week of cruising and island hopping.

  7. Ok, If she just got off the Oasis, those points are technically for the April 1, 2019- March 31, 2020. A december 2017 cruise would mean those points would go to the previous qualifying year, at which, once April 1, 2018 hit the qualifying balance would be reset.

I would call to make sure she is actually prime.

If she is prime, the free cruise is any 8 day or under cruise of your choosing in a inside room (can pay for the difference for other class of cabins) but it excludes all major holidays. If she is Prime for 2018 year, the cruise must be taken before march 31, 2019.

Thanks for clarifying. So if she is not prime (though they put the prime sticker on her seapass?) and we did the cruise certificate cruise in March and she earned another 100 points (2400 from last cruise plus 100 = 2500)then she would be prime for the 4/2019-3/2020 year and would get a free cruise that would have to be taken during that period. Is that correct?

  8. So I just got off a free Oasis of the Seas cruise thanks to my gambling friend. While on that cruise, she reached prime by about day 2 thanks to a previous cruise in December being added.

By the end of this cruise she had earned 2400 points to earn a free cruise certificate. The cruises available all are by 3/31/19.

It appears that she will also get another free cruise because she reached prime? and it can be any 8-day cruise? Is that correct? Can anyone give me any details about when this will be available to her and when it would have to be use by? We are trying to figure out whether to book using the free certificate or if we can book with her free prime cruise. We'd like to pick our own vs. using one of the ones listed on the certificate and probably won't be able to do 2 cruises by March if they both were to expire by then.

    Any insight would be appreciated!

  9. My friend and I did the sushi class last year and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I also thought the price was reasonable. You end up making 3 or 4 rolls, so it was a lot of food. It generally starts around 10:30 and you are eating by 11:30. I would skip breakfast that morning. We made the mistake of eating breakfast then headed to our sushi class and were not hungry.

I have not done the cupcake class but looked at it for the upcoming cruise with same friend. I just think the price seems ridiculously high for what you get. With the sushi class, I had almost 30.00 worth of sushi...not so much with cupcakes.

  10. We just got off the Getaway this morning and there were no straws anywhere! This was one of our top 4 complaints about the cruise. Drinking frozen drinks is incredibly hard without a straw. I would be ok with this rule if they had paper straws, but they had no straws at all. Also a bummer because we had a two and six year old who needed straws.

  11. Sorry for being behind. My husband and I just booked a 3 day on the Majesty in January. We were not planning a cruise, so I haven't been keeping up with the forums.

We generally always get the drink package (with my husband I would rather know what it is going to cost me up front then having to guess what he will drink). Right now it is priced at 48.00 plus 18%. That is the sale price? I'm guessing I should go ahead and book it at that price. Would it possibly go down anymore?

Also, the package works on Coco Cay correct?

    Thanks!

  12. We just booked the 3 day majesty on 1/27 tonight. My husband got an ocean view room offer and I got an interior. They were able to combine our offers and gave us a junior suite for free. Just paid 244 for taxes and gratuities. I have a free companion ticket that expires end of January so flights should be about 350. Overall, pretty cheap. Wish we could have done a longer one, but can't afford the leave.

  13. I was on the Enchantment of the Seas this weekend and used Park Port Canaveral (the Radisson one) for the first time and thought it was wonderful. I pre-paid my 4 days for a total of 26.00 vs. 60.00 for port parking. As soon as we parked, we were on a shuttle heading to the ship. We did the self-carry option to get off the boat as one of the first people and they had a shuttle waiting for us that immediately left and dropped us off at our car.

Obviously, port parking is the most convenient, but also most expensive. I wouldn't hesitate to use this service again.

  14. I read somewhere that when Enchantment missed it for the hurricane, it was the first time in six months.

But, I have no idea if that's true or not.

Yep I was on that cruise this past weekend and that's what the cruise director told us.

This was the first time out of 3 I've missed a private island. I leave Sunday for Majesty of the Seas that has a stop there so I'm hoping we make it. There was no damage, the sea was just too rough to use the tender service to get to the island. They really tried as Coco Cay had been closed for 2-3 days. They had brought the water sports back out and took us all the way there but ultimately the sea was too rough.

  15. I'm also on the EOS sailing out Friday morning and I think we will probably miss Coco Cay due to weather which I hate, but if that's the worst that happens it's all good. My husband (weather nut and first time cruiser) has already texted me about it and wondering if we should call RCI. I said - don't worry we will sail. Itinerary may change, but we'll sail.
