I was on B2B on Onward in June and they were awaiting delivery so no bags at that point

I am guessing you boarded in Istanbul (with the bags) when I got off 🙂

    Hi

We boarded in Istanbul on 29th June and were advised they were waiting for tote bags to arrive at ship. They delivered them to us a few days later. Sorry you missed out 😟

    Hi all,

New to Azamara although cruised last Fall and in March so have some testing for travel experience. I notice Azamara requires antigen testing to be 1 day before embarkation. How do you accomplish this when traveling? Other lines give you 48 hours which is easier to figure out if you are traveling far, I prefer to test before I leave home just in case. I don't want to do a PCR which has a longer lead time because I am just recovering from covid now and would worry about a false positive.

Second. Those who have been on Azamara recently. We will be leaving Pursuit and getting on an Oceania cruise that afternoon. Are antigen tests still available for those who need them before disembarking? I will ask Azamara as well, but just wonder what your experiences have been.

    Thanks so much! Kim

    Hi Kim

We had  tests done at the dock in Istanbul which were $59 as offered by Azamara. Just decided to do it there to save any stress. (We also did our own self tests at hotel day before we left which were negative and gave us some reassurance beforehand).

    Have a great cruise.

  3. Heike will certainly be missed at Azamara and by all of us that knew her and sailed with her often.

Wishing her the very best for her new adventures.

It was Cutty Sark for quite while and many were very unhappy with it

Thanks for replies uktog/Grandma Cruising.  I was one of the many unhappy with Cutty Sark 🤢  😥. Was hoping they had changed it to Grouse as I thought it was mentioned in another thread some time ago as a possible alternative/addition to list.  Fingers crossed that they may have changed it for my next cruise.

  5. Hubby and I had a wee trip “doon the Watter” yesterday on The Waverley, the worlds last ocean going Paddle steamer.  On road to board her in Largs, caught sight of the three Azamara ships In Glasgow which was quite emotional. Had a lovely day and it was great to be on the sea, albeit for a short time.

  6. I went and had the shrimp as a main. Wish Mia had used real Cuban rum as a starter drink or dessert drink. At the moment there is three year old Cuban rum on board. Naturally cam on board there or any where but the states

Were you one The Journey Robin? We were told it was the first time they had put on the Cuban table when we were there. Were you the lady at table with your cousin?

  7. Just continuing on the subject of food and if you like Asian I'd highly recommend the Indonesian Rijsttafel. It's not always well advertised so ask the question of one if the Maitre d's. It's a lovely evening and really good, pretty authentic food. Depending upon the number interested will determine whether they do it and also the venue. Last cruise they closed a portion of the Sunset Veranda and we had two large tables there. Very nice. Have a wonderful cruise regardless.

I will second that. We did the Indonesian rijsttafel on our last Azamara cruise and it was wonderful.

Sat with some great people and had a lovely time.
