One big mystery is why, with Princess cutting costs everywhere and focusing on generating more revenue, would they not have more live entertainment poolside?

The steel drum player (One guy with drums and a computer), party band, and DJ combined didn't play more than 3 hours a day poolside during sea days.

 

Playing devil's advocate...maybe Princess is of the opinion that some passengers require peace and quiet, as they relax around the pool!

 

There are already MUTS films, too many announcements for the dreaded Art Auctions etc.

 

I agree, nothing makes me call it quits at the pool faster than the steel drum player...not my thing.

How was the ocean. We got off the ship on May 1 after a 20 day B2B. The storms looked like they affected your cruise.

It was choppy most nights. I passed it off as us being in a balcony, being on deck 14, and being forward. Usually we like a mid - ship interior on deck 6 or 7. The choppy seas didn't bother my husband but I had difficulty sleeping most of the cruise.

We were on the same cruise. we felt the level of service was excellent one of the best onboard experience we have had.

We had traditional dinning. Inquired one evening if they offered Indian food on the menu. The next evening our server suggested that we only order an appetizer as they took care of the entrée. We were presented with an amazing curry dinner. The servers also knew our drink preferences and were prepared each evening.

We ate mostly in the dinning room for breakfast and IC for lunch, we are not really buffet people. The coffee bar staff and the bar staff knew our presences and were always ready to take our order.

All in all a great time.

Just off the CP, husband wore shorts in main dinning, nothing said. Once you sit nobody sees what you are wearing anyway.

Is this delta or all planes? We don't fly til 2:55 the earliest direct flight I could get and they keep bumping back departure

I went on my first plane in 1979, I was bought a new dress for the occasion and we sat in the smoking section (yuck). My kids laugh at me when I talk about it. Next flight is at 5:30 am. Leggings, oversized T and sweat shirt, warm and comfortable for sleeping.

We sail May 1st. Think it will start that soon in May

We sailed as parent chaperones. One year we sailed the Saturday before Mother's Day. Woke up Sunday morning with a Happy Mother's Day sign and balloons on all the mothers doors.

I always lose my cabin. I am directionally challenged. Planning to put a magnet on my door in May.

I got an email about entertainment on the Royal for the March 30th cruise. It listed:

The Greatest Showman

 

I assume there will be various other selections, but this what was listed in the email.

Most will be. It's a slow rotation.

A new movie every cruise or two and an older one taken down. We were on royal in November and about half were available back then. I'm looking forward to seeing murder on the orient express next week on the royal again:) and maybe something brand new not listed.

How often do they change movies? Will they be the same in May

Do you know what movies were played at the pool?

Is there tiramisu at the IC?

What were the evening shows?

Was there Indian food at the buffet?

We wanted to catch a flight at 9am from FLL. Our TA said no way too much could go wrong and you could miss the flight. Not happy about our 2:30 flight but would be really angry if I missed a flight.

Better safe than sorry

Never tipped, never a problem. They are Union & make a living wage. I save my tips for those that don't.

Meh, carry a card or carry a ***** no difference for me. I don't like jewelry so would wear an ***** on my wrist or necklace style.

I did try to get an OBC because it was cancelled for my sailing, they said no but it cost me nothing to ask.

I don't think I have ever seen a captain.

On our last cruise we were with a school group. The cruise director happened to be from our region of Ontario and knew all of the kids names a what adults belonged with the group. That was impressive

Have only been on 5 cruises. 2 from Miami, 2 New York, 1 FLL. Never had an issue, never tipped as it is not a tipping position.

Pardon my ignorance but you booked a cruise and because they want to sell the room you already paid for they offered you a different cruise?

Why would they so that? The room is already book? They give you a 7 day which you pay the extra then make you wait until 6 weeks after your cruise to get refunded? Hoping you spend the entire credit on the ship?

We were under the galley on the Liberty. We were fairly new to cruising and didn't realize until it was too late.

The noise was bad. I am a lite sleep so noticed every little noise anyway. My husband and children are heavy sleepers but the noise kept them awake too. I think they cook or do prep all night long.
