The Freedom of the Seas no longer has padded loungers at the Solarium. There are still some chairs at the tables with a pad in the chair, but they don't have pads in every chair anymore either.

We have been on the Freedom for the last 8 days, about to get off.

I believe they are given on a first come, first serve basis.

On Freedom now, so far it's been great but we just got here!! Will update later in the week!

I think I remember a free style machine in the arcade on the Freedom. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, there is definitely one in the arcade on Freedom. We used it just before walking into Johnny Rockets and even ran out for a refill during our meal.

There is a road along the beach behind the beach bars. It goes from Shipwreck to near Carambola, Carambola has its own paved drive off of the highway.

Thanks Bob. But does that mean we could post a message to facebook and then log out and others could log in to see if there are any new messages? I'm not sure if this will really be helpful because it won't push the message to the iphone unless you are logged into the account.

We did exactly this on our February 2017 cruise. I would FB messenger my hubby and log off. He would periodically log in and out to see if I had messaged him or vice versa! We found it worked pretty well to find each other when we went separate ways for a bit.

They are included except the premium coffee. There is regular coffee that is free. Is it still Starbucks or have the change brand?

By looking at the menu board in the above pictures, I believe they are now serving Illy for espresso based drinks and the normal, free coffee is Lavazza. This is based on the photos!

According to the handout Canadian Disney Mom got at embarkation, these dining venues are open on embarkation day.

 

 

 

Cafe Promenade: 11 AM - 4 PM

 

Sorrento's Pizza: 11 AM - 3 AM

 

Chop's Grille: 12 - 2 PM (fee dining)

 

Windjammer Cafe: 11:30 AM - 3:45 PM

 

 

 

 

 

 

I will report back after we sail later in December.

Thanks so much for everyone's help!!

We will be boarding early but wanted to make sure the medium size suitcase will be ok to fit in the Xray machine! Don't mind having it with me until rooms are ready because once we eat, we head to a bar to wait!
