  1. Yes. I brought food and bottled water for my 10month old. Barely used it. The dining rooms had many options and were very accommodating. I would just smash the food with a fork. I picked up mini cereal boxes from the buffet for snacks. For the second cruise with the kids, I didn’t bring any food or snacks. I would go to O’Sheehans and they would provide warm milk. We didn’t spend too much time in ports so I guess that made it easier.

  2. You are not going to know what the winning bids were - only a non response that you did not have the winning bid.

UNLESS - someone here at CC and perhaps was on the Meet & Greet Roll Call making a post of what they bid.

You could get nosy and inquisitive and when on board ask the folks in the cabin of the winning bid what they bid.

One thing for sure if you lost the bid and your bid was rather high - you will know that you did not lose by much

and the winning party to the bid paid a premium to beat you.

Tough that a counter higher bid is not entertained - NCL would like that getting maximum yield out of that cabin.

When you receive the offer to bid for a higher class cabin - you are given a range from $xxx to $yyy.

No rules of bidding if any are noted here at CC - - -

    Presume the following:

Does NCL give you an increment minimum of i.e. $5 - $25 - $50 higher or is it like Ebay where $0.01 is all

that is necessary to win the bid.

If you were not the winning bidder you will not know the bid that won unlike Ebay.

The time limits for bidding closing the bid and awarding of the winning bid are determined by NCL -

this could be the day you send in your bid or right up to registering to get onboard.

So if you do or do not win the bid come back and tell us the news of your bid.

I could not understand any of your posts. My question is simple. I don’t care what sailing or what the variables were. Simply what someone bid that resulted in a successful upgrade to H5.

  3. You'll get all kinds of amounts in answer to this question. Each cruise is different - the answer will depend on how well sold the cruise is, which in turn depends on how popular the itinerary, ship and cruise dates are.

No one on these boards knows exactly how NCL makes these decisions. And it's my feeling, from reading all the "upgrade" threads, that most of the upgrading goes on between insides, oceanviews, and various balcony cabins. That stands to reason, as there are far more of these on any ship. The lower inventory of Haven suites means it is more likely to sell out on every cruise.

Yes I get that. Just curious what winning bids were. Any sailing.

  4. Generally speaking, cabins are rarely available on embarkation day. By that time, they have assigned folks who booked Sail-away (guarantee) cabins and your desired cabins most likely won't be available. The cruiselines employ a number methods to ensure all cabins are sold prior to sailing.

Cool beans. It’s so weird seeing so many available staterooms. From inside all the way up to minisuite. Haven is sold out. I guess on a good note, our sailing won’t be as crowded [emoji23]

  5. We sail in 4 days and I see several available balconies. I’m in a balcony which I won via upgrade bid. Can I ask to be moved to another stateroom closer to an elevator at embarkation? There’s so many family balconies (which is a higher balcony category than mine) available. When I asked my TA last week for an upgrade, she said I’d have to pay the difference which I understand. But if the staterooms are still available at embarkation, can I snag it?

  6. I have them, but have no idea how to post files here. I can email them to you if you provide me your email address. I was just on the Oct 1 sailing. We missed Great Stir up Caye because of the high winds/waves/rain.

Hi Rosebud! Can you email to me? I’m sailing on Sunday. Thank you!

  7. I love hearing happy memories. One of my best is my last cruise on the Breakaway. It was our first time sailing with a baby (10 months). My son did very well and behaved but I always nervous he would have a meltdown during dinner. The waitstaff always made me feel welcomed and they interacted with my son. I know many of them have kids of their own back home. They all approached my son with a smile. At the time my son was purées and soft foods. If we ordered a side dish for him or mashed potato or steamed vegetables, it was always plated nicely. The staff always asked if there was something they could get for him. Made me feel better about cruising with a child. Now with a 2 year old and 7 month old, we will sail on her again in October!

  8. I got a chuckle out of that response.

Then I got thinking.... being stuck in a cabin/cruise with two babies might be just the incentive to "give up" on the baby business - LOL!

Bahaha! My mom was with us on our last cruise so no funny business for a week. Baby #2 happened the week after we returned. So I guess that's what happens! 🤷🏻*♀️[emoji85]

  9. OP, 3 adults and 2 babies in a regular Oceanview would be tight ... however, if budget is a consideration - are you aware of and considered one of the Family Oceanview - like the *Away ships, they are located on Escape's Deck 5 midship - they are bigger than the Balcony & even Mini-Suites that sleep just 4.

Take a look at the Deckplan - you will not have a balcony but since you are booked ?? now on an Oceanview - switching to one (it is - generally - priced higher, if available) will get you more space, a pullout sofabed & a upper pullman bed.) I do not know if they can set it up with foldable sleep/playpens - ask NCL.

Options for you instead of others already highlighted above. Noise reduction or isolating earbuds for nap time, perhaps.

We are booked in a Family Oceanview. We were in mini suite last time with 3 adults and 1 baby. Space was comfortable. So the Family OV is bigger?

  10. Hi arianac27,

We will provide complimentary distilled water for those guests who require c-pap machines. Guests who require bottled water or specialized nursing water for infant formula may bring that onboard themselves if they choose, however, we cannot provide that water complimentary on board.

Please feel free to reach out to our Guest Relations team at 1.800.327.7030 if you any further questions. Thanks!

    Thank you NCL!

That is what I thought. The rep that called me back yesterday gave me the wrong information then.
