  1. I will admit we started getting a bit more movement tonight. Sort of coming in waves. So to speak.

But hang in there. The wave forecast for late tonight early tomorrow really does get better.

I feel bad for those affected. I like the movement. Reminds me I'm on a ship on the ocean.

Matt, just out of curiosity, where do you get the wave forecast from?

  2. Anybody know the weather update? When gonna be smooth?

The poor woman next to me in Chops tonight got sick. She told me this was her 16th cruise and she's never felt the motion like on this boat. We are going agains the wind now (tv says the wind is 34 kts) so it's probably not going to be a great night.

  3. I was up quite late. Did not feel any rocking last night. There is a little bit today.

Matt - thanks for your response. The ship is pretty gorgeous isn't she?

Our cabin is almost completely in the back of the ship and up high. I think that has a lot to do with the movement we were feeling last night.

As for everyone saying I'm whining, you're so kind as always. I just have never been on a ship where the captain didn't at least do a morning update. It's almost noon and everyone is talking about it, and there has been nothing official. If you don't think it's strange, then I guess I'm the crazy one.

Off to enjoy the Anthem. The bionic bar is truly so much cooler in person. I'll have a drink for all of you.

  4. I felt motion on anthem that didn't necessarily match the seas. I understand the lack of information, as this was an issue on my recent anthem experience-- but you weren't getting off in Halifax, so I don't really understand why it matters. Better weather= good thing.

You're right...I guess it just seemed weird that they wouldn't say something.

The captain made the right call and I'm glad he did. But I'm on team: the more information the better. I'm hoping getting out of my cabin and heading down to a lower deck will be helpful.

  5. Definitely going south but not quickly. Last position on Marine Traffic as of just before 11pm EST last night.

On board now as well. Definitely a very rough evening after a great day aboard Anthem. I'm a pretty regular cruiser and this is very rough for me. Usually I go to sleep and there's no issues but last night I couldn't get comfortable due to rocking.

Quite honestly I'm a little put off by the fact that there was no announcement due to the course change. I definitely agree with the the captain for making the call due to weather but why don't you let the passengers know? We were already down by Washington DC after I finished dinner last night so they made that call much earlier in the day (if not immediately after we left Bayonne). Why should I find this out from a tweet?

Anyway I'm hoping that this gets better and perhaps my aft cabin is making this worse. I would have to imagine certain activities would have to be canceled from the motion.
