During a 7 night cruise we will more than likely eat 2 meals on the MDR, 2 at the buffet, 1 in the Steakhouse and if we have had a large lunch and not very hungry we will order pub grub at the Red Frog Pub or just pizza. We like a very relaxed no hassle cruise.

I don't do the Lido on sea days. Way too loud and crowded. We are early risers and often notice people going to the pool area as early as 6:30 in their pj's dropping flip flops and towels on chairs then turning around and going back from where they came. I just laugh cause that's the last place I want to be later in the day.

I buy the biggest ugliest cheapest watch that Walmart has to offer. The one I have for this cruise is hot pink with pink rubber like strap. I strap it on my beach bag handle and off I go.

We are turning Platinum on our May 5 cruise and once we paid the final payment our documents say priority. The boarding pass says Platinum. Yeah!

We turn Platinum on our May cruise. I have held off booking another Carnival cruise. I will wait to see what happens in the next few months before I make up my mind. We already have have 3 cruises on Royal and will go with them if Carnival takes any perks away.

Another Facebook group seem to be causing a bit of a kerfuffle. Someone there has said that we have stopped Diamond and Platinum guests having immediate access to the cabins when they board and that this benefit is solely for Faster to the Fun guests.

Please ignore this silly rumour.

There have been no changes and guests who have a diamond or platinum card will still be able to do this.

So please ignore any rumours you may have read elsewhere.

2 people stated on the Facebook page for Platinums and Diamonds that they had not been allowed to go to their rooms early. This was on the Dream and Magic I think.

I am getting really excited for May 5th.

When I go on a cruise I want to be outside enjoying the ocean not sitting in a room. I do my reading where I can hear the ocean and look up and stare at it for a few minutes. So losing the libraries is not a big deal for me.

They are not available on all cruises and normally appear fairly close to sail date. We are on the Vista on May 5 and that option appeared about a week ago.

We are turning Platinum on our May 5 Vista cruise. After I paid in full I printed off our boarding pass and it read Platinum.

We turn Platinum on day 4 of our May 5 Vista cruise. Our boarding pass states Priority and also says VIFP status Platinum. Also luggage tags say priority. It felt so good to see that.

We were on a family cruise on the Valor in November and our experience was just the opposite from yours. Our room steward was fantastc, he brought us an ice chest and kept it full. Also they opened all three balconys for us. We were in the MDR every night and loved it. We were fed and gone in about 1 1/2 hours and there were 10 of us. We were served drinks by the staff poolside. Our room showed a little wear but was clean. So sorry you experience was not as good as ours.

We have had a OBC of $10 to $20 dollars before due to Port Fees decreased but not on all cruises.

We went to Tabyana Beach and really liked it.

We were on the Valor over Thanksgiving and not only no price reductions, it was completely sold out.

When I book our cruise I schedule final payment to be charged to the card I used for the deposit. Final payment for our May 5 Vista was today (Feb 19). I received an email shortly after midnight that I was paid in full.

It is my experience the older ships you need a card with a magnetic strip to open and lock the safe. The newer ( Dream Class Ships and Vista) have a key pad.

Go to the room to drop off bags. Get a Funship Special then a Guys burger and frys. Sit and people watch.

If Platinum/Diamond do not get their bags delivered early why do the luggage tags say priority ?

We always bring a small bottle or the wipes of insect repellant for excursions, I have been eaten alive while horseback riding in Jamaica. Learned my lesson.

We are sailing in May on the Vista and got an upsell email in January.

Going out of Galveston we had FTTF and got an upsell to a suite about 6 weeks before the cruise. The only reason we got FTTF was for early boarding so we cancelled it and our credit card was refunded. Printed out our luggage tags and boarding pass a few days before the cruise and they said FTTF. I called Carnival to double check and they said no we did not have it. Got our sign and sail cards and there was FTTF on them. I guess some kind of computer glitch that didn't remove it from our documents.
