We used our soda cups and filled them with pop. Then as we had the beverage package went to a bar and got a shot of bourbon or the liquor of your choice, and poured it into the cup. Worked out very well.

The dining package isn't showing up in the Cruise Planner on the RCCL website. Is this a random thing or is it only available on certain ships and/or sailings? Sailing on Allure on 12/24.

My husband and I are cruising on the Allure for Christmas this year for the first time. Not our first cruise, just our first Christmas cruise. What kind of extra activities can we expect. Thanks!
-
Thank you everyone for the quick answers. We are deciding on doing a Christmas cruise either on the Anthem or the Allure. Decisions, decisions.
-
Curious to know how long you are in cold weather on a Christmas cruise on Anthem out of New Jersey. Can anyone give me information on this? TIA

Thank you everyone for the information and the picture of the menu. I appreciate all the help.

We were on the Oasis of the Seas last week and I indulged in a couple of Chocolate Martini's in the Rising Tide Bar. Can anyone tell me what is in it? I am craving one and want to get the right ingredients. Thank you so much!!!

The cupcake shop on Oasis is on deck 6 - on Boardwalk. It's now a cupcake/ice cream store called Cups and Scoops.

I love the pumpkin rolls on Royal Caribbean cruises. We are on Oasis next month. Hope they are as wonderful as ever!

You won't have any trouble getting a seat or a table at any of the bars you listed. I don't think they every fill up completely.

Question on the rum factory tours in Puerto Rico. First time going to Puerto Rico. Which tour would you suggest and why? The Casa Bacardi tour or the Rum! Rum! Rum! tour. There aren't any reviews on either of these tours. Thanks for any advice.

I found my answer. Thanks!!

My son wants to take his skateboard when we go on the Freedom in a few weeks. Does anyone know if skateboards are allowed on the running track?
-
Thank you. Thought something was wrong on my end.

Just booked a cruise on Freedom of the Seas for August. I went to the RCCL website and tried to do the on-line check in. Website said I can't do this until 90 days out. When I booked last year for the Allure, I was able to do online check in right after my reservation number showed up. Anyone else have this issue??

I just want to thank Cruise Critic. During our Allure of the Seas Meet and Mingle for the February 15-22nd cruise I won the last raffle number called during the get together. What a pleasant surprise! It was a pleasure meeting and cruising with all of you. Hope to 'sea' you all again some day. We had such an enjoyable week on board. Can't wait to do it again. :D

Thank you for the quick answers. I appreciate it. No we aren't in a suite. Just a regular old balcony room. Can't wait! It's our first time in one.

Okay, I am not quite sure on the gratuities thing. If they are automatically added on to my account each day that means I don't have to hand out envelopes at the end of the cruise? The RCI website says $12 a day will be added on. Is that per person, i.e. cabin steward, waiter, etc. ??
Sorry, this is a little confusing. Thanks for the help !!

Can you use Starbuck's gift cards on the ship?
-
Just a question, does any of the lounges on board the Allure offer champagne and caviar? Just want to indulge in a little bit of decadence while on board in February.

We are cruising on the Allure in February 2015 and booked the
Caribbean 'FastCat' 2 Island Snorkeling and beach getaway excursion a few months back. Then I received an e-mail from RCCL stating that they had cancelled it and are refunding our money. Has anyone booked this excursion and then had it cancelled?? It is still listed on the Cruise Planner as an available excursion.

We were able to book all our shows for our Feb 15 cruise on the Allure. Booked them all on line a few weeks ago.

Just went on the RCCL Cruise Planner and they have a Prohibition Event listed. Can anyone tell me what is involved with this event? There aren't any details listed, just that it is 2 hours long and costs $35 a person.

The lasagna is excellent at Giovanni's. Ask for it if it's not on the menu.
