  1. Funny story. My Wife and I had a couples massage on a cruise around 10 years ago. Overall it was great (can't remember the cost). However we had never had a massage before and the two female masseuses were discussing the process with us and explaining that some of the oil/scrub may damage our clothes so we can get some disposable underwear to use during the massage. We opted for the disposable. The ladies left the room we got changed into said underwear. My Wife's pair was fine and covered everything. My pair were small and would have better fitted a tiny gymnast. Apparently this was a universal "mens" size. Now being from Europe, I am used to tiny swim gear (not that it's my go to)! But this was something else. Nevertheless I decided to just run with it as it was only us in the room and if that's the size then that's the size and every other guy has had to deal with it.

We loved the massage so much that we decided to get another one later that week. This time we had two different masseuses, they went through the same discussion however this time they brought out a pair of disposable shorts!!!! I mentioned the first massage and they burst out laughing. This was apparently a joke they play on unsuspecting customers. I was horrified at how gullible I was but saw the joke. We did see the original ladies after finding out and they bought us a drink.

Note to all guys. BEWARE Don't wear a disposable pair of briefs just because some gives them to you

    : )))

  2. be mindful of whats below. this ships aft has cabins directly over a stage area on deck 6.

yes, the balconies are staggered up-- you give up some what of a privacy thing here. the dividers all sit at angles so you can see your neighbors all the way at the end.

You can only see people who are standing at the rail.

aft balconies tend to stay warm- there is no ocean breezes back here.

The halls are quiet. they are long walk to the stairs/elevators.

they also cost more then a side balcony.

the balconies are a lot bigger then a side balcony

    Points taken. Thanks again

  3. the aft balconies are generally well sought after but they are not for everyone. At least you tried it and found they are not for you.

We love Princess aft balconies but only on Caribbean deck. (c753 is what we book)

FOr your FoS- always try to avoid cabins that are across the way from the gray area unless its like an electrical closet or fire door storage.

Be mindful of whats above you and below you. THere are many cabins that are in noise zones. But there are also cabins that are in perfect locations

Good info Thank you :) .We're going to book the aft on Carnival Breeze or Magic next time. As these are staggered we hope it's not going to be as noisy (we should be able to cope with wobbliness;) )

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

  4. Just adding my two pence worth.

Crown Princess D736 is at the back of the ship and is a lovely Junior Suite but unfortunately it is so noisy from the wake that you cannot really enjoy the balcony - Specially for breakfast. It is also very wobbly back there!

I've just finished a week staying in 9564 on FOS. Again great JS but is opposite the stateroom attendants service door. So it is continually in use and slammed quite often. As well as having a constant stream of service trolleys left outside.
