It's hard to pack enough items like mouthwash for a 7-day cruise. Does the Island Princess have such items for sale?

I see this on the Island Princess deck plans, what is it?

New Cruisers here! We signed up for anytime dining, which I THINK I understand as it relates to dinner. However, what about breakfast & lunch? Can we eat those meals for free, anywhere we like?

1) Is there an ice cream restaurant?

Anyone having any luck using gogo to watch movies on smartphones? We're preparing for a long flight to Alaska, thinking of buying a one-day gogo pass to pass the time. Any advice?

We're getting excited for our first cruise ever! I keep reading advice to take metallic hooks to hang jackets or whatever. Are the cabin walls of the Island Princess metal?

We're new smartphone users, iPhone 5s. Getting ready to go on our first cruise. I'm worried that our cell phone battery won't last through a day of photo taking. I bought a Pocket Juice, 2000 mAH rechargable portable cell phone charger. Is that safe to use on my iPhone?

Thank you all for your replies. Sorry if I confused some of you. As I'd said in my thread, we are new smartphone users, lots to learn, so thanks for your patience. I will of course be bringing my little charger that came with my phone. I had just wanted to be sure there wasn't some other charger that was needed, & your replies indicate "no."

We're packing to go on our very first cruise! Ocean Princess, Alaska. We are also new smartphone users, iPhone 5s. We can't figure out why everyone takes phone chargers. We just plug ours into our wall charger at home every night. Will e not be able to do that on the plane and cruise ship?

DH & I getting ready to go on our first cruise ever! Island Princess. We are planning to use princess@sea messenger to stay in touch with each other on the ship...they do have that on the Island Princess, right? Does it allow voice-actuated texting, or is it only capable of doing texting-by-fingers? And, will we still see the time of day on our phones? We haven't worn a watch for years.

Is there alarm clocks in the staterooms on the Island Princess?

But we're thinking of upgrading to I-phones, if that would enable us to keep in contact with each other on the ship. Any advice on this?

This will be my first cruise, and I'm nervous about choosing a cabin. It'll be on the Island Princess, Anchorage to Vancouver, 7 days in September. Which side of the ship should I choose, for best views when coming into ports?
