Not sure if I should post this here or on the Alaska board but I have a few questions about both

Will be on an Alaska cruise in July.  I know I can pre-book the specialty restaurants and shows, but what about the comedy club and the cavern club?  Do I do this in advance or after boarding?

Also, what's the dress code in the specialty restaurants on an Alaskan cruise?  Is it more relaxed than other cruises?  Trying to have to pack as little as possible for the flight so if we don't need anything dressy would be a plus.

We're leaving on Sunday and are seriously considering Cheers this time. Never done it before and a few questions came up

1. I know buckets of beer are not included, but can we purchase a bucket and just not have it go against the program?

2. Floaters - can you get a drink with the program and then purchase a floater for it or do you have to wait the 5 minutes and have it count as 2 drinks

3 Shots - can you get a beer with the program but purchase a shot to go with it not on the program.

I've seen that when you come close to the limit you can start purchasing your drinks, but is this always allowed and how close to the limit should you start buying.

That sounds good. Pick up a Christmas ornament which I always do and then just hang out by the pool.

Do they have a swim up bar? And are there lockers to put anything purchased in or should I just go back and put stuff in our cabin?

Thanks so much. I would love to do the zip line, but I have a pretty bad shoulder injury so don't think I can do that.

Is there any kind of shopping around? Not a big shopper but I do like to pick up a little something from each port we visit and maybe a piece of jewelry if not too expensive.

I actually do love just hanging out in the sunshine maybe reading a book by the pool. Do they have any bars or servers that will bring you drinks? I am on vacation after all! :o

We're sailing on the Conquest on 3/26/17. Husband and 2 adult sons will be doing the ATV's thru Marasol tours in the morning. Long story why I won't be joining them but was wondering what there is to do while they're gone. We have never been to Amber Cove before so we have no idea what's there. I don't want to just stay on ship. Any info would be appreciated.

That's not the Dream. It's a Conquest Class ship, the Whale Tail is too tall to be the Dream. The lifeboat arrangement is also different than the Dream, these boats are mounted higher than the Dream's.

With all these replies, my guess is that the amount of days granted for an extension could possbly ride on your balance at the time and availability of othe cabins at that time showing how full the ship is
