Doing the Adriatic explorer in September and there doesn't look much to do / see in Koper? Had anyone done the Piran / Portoroz trip with Thomson or are these places easy enough to get to by local bus?

Its £70 pppw you then get all premium drinks inc bottled water coffee in the coffee port, we have always found that the basic is OK with some premium branded drinks but its something you can decide when onboard.

Wow talk about nanny state. Telling people how much they should be drinking on their holiday. And I'm not one of the drunks either. Yes I've seen people having had far to much and they should be told but as for having an allowance at my age i know when I've had enough.

We went with cruise and maritime on our very first cruise about 8 yrs ago? Around Brittish Isles. Had a lovely time. No problems. Ship (ocean countess) was small but nice. Lot more formal than Thomson. Set dinning times etc but there was a buffet. It certainly gave us the cruise bug so that says a lot. Enjoy.

We are doing the Adriatic explorer next year and wondered what ports are tender?

We were there last year. Not the nicest of ports. Little beach and a few restaurants around the port. We walked into the town. It was quite a walk and not much to see when we got there. On the way back we passed through an old railway "museum". If we were there again I would definitely look at doing a trip.

Just tried to book my cabin on dream. Not sailing till September 2017. Was told all the outside cabins at the front are not available so had to go to the aft. It seems a bit strange so many cabins are booked already - 16 months in advance or do they keep some back?

I'm trying to choose a cabin on dream. looking at deck 7 at the rear. Is it more noisy at the back? Been told it maybe as engine / prop noise?

Hi. Just about to book on the dream next year. is smoking permitted on the balcony if booking a balcony cabins?

As I said I was fancying the discovery. Don't fancy Spain. I don't see I have any other choice. Spain or nothing (on the discovery)???

Just been looking at Thomson cruises for next yr. fancy the discovery but not liking the itineries. Will they add more options as time goes on or is what we see now all we'll get?

We have been on numerous holidays where the odd review was terrible. Not just cruises. When we arrived the places were nothing like they were stating. I think some people are never happy unless they are moaning.

We took the road train. Very cheap. Stopped off at the lovely Marina. Lots of bars and restaurants. Also on the road at the back of Marina there was a market. We then got back on the road train and went to the beach. Very easy DIY. Enjoy.
