  1. Let's hope for a breakthrough for you!! My sister & brother in law saved up for eons to get away on The Pearl last year (October, I believe. I know...it's always risky in Hurricane Season!!). Storms all the way, except for half a day. My sister said they circled around & circled around, off of Miami, with half a day on one of the islands (forget which one). Hoping you enjoy better weather and some wonderful food & on board activities!!

  2. Hi all: I tried to open the pic posted here of the Aurea Cabins or maybe it was YC? I have the little box with X in place of the pic & it doesn't open. We've upgraded, hugely for us, into this cabin. I couldn't sleep last night after I read some of the reviews. We love the included perks with the cabin class, but I need sunlight! It appears that the windows are considered "panoramic," but the view appears blocked on the bottom half or so, due to some type of solid railing -- which appears to extend several feet out from the window itself. Does anyone know anything about the décor of this cabin also? The rosy red is an eyesore to me! LOL. I am picky. I've cruised a few times and learned a few times. We enjoy the reserved-to-the-senses in our entertainment, the quiet and private type of cruise. Thanks so much for any comments or photos.

Wanted to let anyone reading this...we changed cabins. Continued with the Aurea Experience Package, but in cabin 12016. Anyone have any experience in this cabin?? TIA

  3. When googling "msc divina 11010" this thread comes up. So if someone is looking info for that aurea suite I can tell something. It was awesome. It has a separate bedroom and living room. Bedroom has nice big windows looking forward. It also has a walk-in closet! Balcony is long from balcony door almost to bedroom window but of course it is little bit narrower than regular balcony. You can see bedroom and balcony from my photo:

Beautiful, beautiful! I hope ours in #10006 is this lovely!!

Same questions here...going later on this year. Hope someone here has ideas or answers to these questions :)

  6. I'm a physician, Internal Medicine, and am constantly asked to prescribe scope patches. I never, ever write for it. I consider the stuff dangerous, and that dizziness described is part of the side effects. As is the dilated eye pupil and blurred vision on one side, and walking into walls. Please, drink some ginger ale or eat some candied ginger! It is so much safer! I do prescribe Antivert (meclizine) which is the same drug as bonine, for nausea and vertigo. Benadryl will also work just as well. Might not have the exotic allure of a grey patch plastered behind your ear, but they work and are a lot safer.

So glad to have read this NOW! I took Meclizine on my first cruise & did just so-so, however took Compazine & did really well on the last cruise. I have a Dr's Appt. in 2 weeks to ask for the Scop Patch, but now believe I will stick with what worked before! Thanks for the information.
