  1. Thank you all very very much. I knew I could count on you experts!! You have given me great advice and we will have to think it over. It's really our adult kids who want to go to the beach. In my earlier days I LOVED the beach and still do, but I wouldn't just mind a little shopping and then back on the ship!! LOL!! Thanks for the advice about Nevis. I don't have too many mobility issues, but with fibro it can vary greatly day to day and we don't want to plan anything that I may have to cancel. We plan on doing beaches on St. Thomas and Aruba also so I would like something relatively easy for St. Kitts.

Again thanks so very much. And Happy Cruising!!!

  2. Hi fellow cruisers,

My family and I are going on our Adventure cruise soon!! We are very excited!! We have never been to St. Kitts. We would like to do a beach day (or part of a day). I have read and heard different things about the beaches and am somewhat confused. I am hoping to hear from some people who have been there recently. I hear that Carambola beach is one to try but have also heard that there is a lot of seaweed and the beach has deteriorated leaving a big dropoff. I have fibromyalgia and prefer a beach with gentle waves and somewhat shallow. Also we are looking for beach chairs to rent and clean bathrooms. What about Frigate Bay? Turtle Beach? I admit I know nothing about any of these. We are not doing an excursion from the ship and just want a fairly close taxi ride to a safe, clean beach. Oh also I have heard about the Marriott. Can you still get a day pass, and also how is it?

I know I can count on all of you expert cruisers. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!!!! And Happy Cruising!!

  3. I think the WOW bands are going to be like the Magic bands at Disney which we have used. If I am correct in my thinking you will not have to wear them. Many people in Disney would keep them in their purse, backpack, etc. and take them out when they need them. Really they worked great. Really easy to use and it's so easy to just use them to get in your room, buy things, etc. I think most people would take them off while by the pool anyway because really who wants that tan line? Also I would imagine that if you really didn't want one RC would just give you the card.

    Just my 2 cents.

  4. I've been using mine for years and they have never fallen apart and believe me I do NOT pack light!! LOL!! I find them very good for traveling. We just went on the Freedom and I used one of mine for the beach, pool, etc. Worked great. As for where to buy them, go on the website as others have said. I get e-mails all the time from them for big discounts (and also if anyone is interested coach also has great discounts on their website which I use for my coach bags). I will add to all Vera fans out there; we spent a week in Disney after our cruise and I bought two Mickey bags. Soooo cute!!

Have a wonderful vacation and happy shopping!!!

  5. Thanks!! We're from Ma, but my husband is "southern tea" at heart. LOL!! I know he will enjoy the ice tea(even if it is not brewed) along with the water and soda and I will be a very happy cruiser with my "fufu" drinks. A Pina Colada sounds pretty good right now as a matter of fact!!

Thanks again all. Haven't cruised in four years so we are very ready!!!

  6. Hi all fellow cruisers!! It's been a few years since our last cruise and I know I can count on all you experts for some advice.

My family is going on the western FOS in August. We have never done the beverage packages (except for the soda one when kids were young) and I have some questions:

On the premium ($55) package is there a limit on how many bottles of water per day?

I see that tips are included. Should we tip more? And is cash okay?

On the replenish package what exactly does premium coffee and tea mean? Starbucks?

Is iced tea included and if so what kind. My husband (who does not drink) is looking into this package and he loves iced tea. My kids (adults) and I are looking at the premium packages.

    Another question:

My kids want to do Dunn Falls. We have never done this. My husband and I are not going. I have fibromyalgia and really don't think it's for me. They are looking at the express excursion. Am I correct in my thinking that this is JUST the falls, you just go, do the falls and come back to the ship?

    And yet one more question:

We are celebrating our 40th Anniversary and it's been quite a while since we've been able to get all 4 of us together for a vacation. We have late seating in the MDR and really really want a table for 4 and not to share with anyone else. We just want time together as a family. We requested this when we made our reservations, but it there a way to maybe let them know that we really really want this?

Many thanks in advance to all of you. We are all really looking forward to our cruise!!!!
