  1. This is GREAT!! It's answering so many of my questions about Princess. We've cruised NCL many times but needed a WC cruise at this time and happened upon the Coastal Cruise and I thought it would be fun to try instead of the Pacific Coastal we've done before. Now trying to figure out the differences between the two.

The Chef's Table really looks like something we would enjoy. One question, though, does it require "dressing"? Or is the usual evening dress code sufficient - kahkis and polo shirts or aloha shirts for men - nice slacks and blouses for women?

I didn't see anyone dressed formally when we did the Chef's Table on the Golden in May. I didn't see jeans, but, no one was dressed formally, either. Several of us had sneakers on because the letter sent with the "invitation" says no open toed shoes in the kitchen.

  2. I'm reading this thread as I sit on the coast of WA enjoying a week before sailing THIS Sat on the Golden. I sighed thinking about our suitcases and how we packed for the trip thinking we could do laundry mid-cruise. We checked 2 suitcases and brought 2 carry-ons + another bag knowing 1 of them could be checked if needed. Guess we WILL be checking the extra bag going home. We'll plan on buying more t-shirts here and on the cruise; we'll do underwear in our sink and we'll send more home between leaving the WA coast and boarding the ship. BIG, annoying sigh!
