  1. We had 4 people and 6 pieces of luggage in January from the Embassy Suites in Elizabeth to Port Liberty and our Uber XL receipt (which I just looked up to be sure it was UberXL) was for $27.03 before tip. The fare was 26.64 and there was 0.39 charge for wait time. It was a great trip in a very clean Honda Odyssey and it did take us about 30 minutes because the traffic in the port was awful.

  2. I can tell you that last week on the Anthem a man asked the young lady who was operating North Star why his toddler could not be on with him, and the operator showed him the zip line that we would all have to take down if we happened to get stuck in the air. She said that a toddler would be too small for the harness that would be needed and that it would not be safe to hold the child while you zipped down. I would guess this is the reason for the height requirement.

  3. I understand the reasoning behind the change, but I am still unhappy. Since we are traveling from Texas to Florida for this cruise, I don't want an itinerary that is mostly ports I have gone to from Galveston several times. I would be happy with Labadee and St. Kitts only and they can keep my San Juan excursion money for hurricane relief. I could enjoy 4 sea days better than the 6 days onboard I'll be having now.

  4. I have decorated cakes and cupcakes at home and still paid the money to join a class on the Oasis and paid for 5 of my grandchildren to join a children's class on the Freedom. The memories and fun were worth the cost for me. I don't spend money on bingo, spa treatments or alcohol on a cruise so this could be considered my splurge expense. I can also tell you that there is a lot of work to set up the table and clean up afterward. Cleaning up cake decorating equipment is tedious! Both teachers that conducted the classes were patient and very personable. And the cupcakes were tasty, not the best I've ever consumed, but definitely not the worst either.

I'm pretty sure the lines in red are the same incident. So whoever put this together did not do a very good job of checking for redundancies and so I would not trust this site for accurate information.

  6. A quick google search yielded this information:

US Visa Vs. Form I-94: An Overview

A US visa is a permit to seek entry into the US. The I-94 card gives you permission to enter and remain in the US. A visa allows you to appear at the US port of entry and seek entry into the country. The I-94 form is your actual admission ticket, telling you how long can you stay in the US during that visit, and what you can do while you are here.

Many foreign nationals are unaware that their authorized stay in the US is controlled by the I-94 record and not by their US visa. It is the I-94 record that says how long can you stay in the US, and in what status you were admitted. Incorrect interpretations of the dates on the I-94 record or visa could cause problems.

I know that information found on the internet is not always trustworthy, but there were several sites that had this same info, including one that was a government customs and border patrol site.

I would think that your place of employment might have immigration lawyers who could help them. Your friends may have already asked them questions about other matters.
