St. George Lodge “all you can eat” fresh dungie.  The best in SE Alaska.  You can do it as part of a tour or arrange directly with them.

I recently check out there website and it looks like you only have a certain amount of time for eating. do you know if this is correct?

  2. I am not sure when the OP posted this but according the White Pass Railroad website, they even offer the 8 hour trips until September 14. I am grateful to the poster for a heads up because I am not going to reschedule my cruise. It is worth more $$ and to have peace of mind that we can do the train excursion.

Back in the day we may or may not have simply NOT stopped at the "turn in your booze" table when coming in from port. They see it in your bag and ask you to turn it in, but if you get back in a crowd it's easy to just keep walking. Not condoning or anything. Just saying. Then you're not paying tax on it either...

this happened to us once, not that we were trying to sneak it in, the line was very long and after standing there a while, we just went to our cabin. Nothing was ever said.

if we already have the hub installed do we need to reinstall for all the updates?

Yesterday my Hub wouldn't work so I posted on JH facebook page. He and others advised to uninstall and reinstall and that worked. So might not be a bad idea to go ahead and do that since all the upgrades.

Not sure if you meant the 'plan now, pay later' offer, but assuming you did.  Sorry if I'm dumping info you aren't interested in.

I compared against other offers in my list and here was the breakdown for single person in extended balcony for my selected sailing:

Plan Now, Pay Later: $720 fare ($500 FunPlay, $400 OBC, Cheers (approx. $360 value))

Premier Cruise: $1172 fare (Premier checkin, exclusive casino games, Drinks On Us)

Premier Cruise Offer #2: $1096 (same as above, but no pre-selection of stateroom)

    Pack & Go: $1158

Early Saver: $1338 ($100 OBC, room upgrade)

    Cruise Into Savings: $1434

    Fun Select: $1738

Depending on how you want to evaluate the 'value' of each, personally, I think the drinks everywhere offer wound up being better, not just for the free drinks, but because with the OBC and FunPlay my fare is essentially rolled into cash in hand on the boat ($861.64 fare after fees - $900 in OBC/FunPlay + no drink expenses).  Realistically, yes, I will spend that money on board. As always, depends on how you want to look at it.

Also, confirmed with them that Free Drinks Everywhere really means everywhere - the rep who I spoke with started telling me the details of the CHEERS program - I asked 'So, it's CHEERS.'  He said yes.  So winner winner.

I didn't get the $500 free play but like I said, we did save some money with the cheers offer.

  6. We booked in March this and it really isn't free. 3 of u s without this promo wa like $133.00 each. With this promo, was $4??.00 each. We saved about $60 each to book this promo. Hey $60 bucks is $60 bucks. Be sure to compare apples to apples.

  7. Thanks for the info. Was also wondering if it rains, will the snorkel boats run? Our forecast for next week show 90% rain for Barbados, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts. We were planning on snorkeling at all 3 stops.

  8. Just wondering if someone has visited both of these for a day, and which would be better? My husband and I have our own snorkel equipment and would like to snorkel a shipwreck as well as snorkel with the turtles. I am not sure if the turtles are at a shipwreck. Can someone help?

  9. One of the pages says that local law doesn't allow for food items to go off the ship. Is this at every port? I had read on here somewhere that you can order sandwiches from room service and bring them on the islands with you and of course, I will be bringing water.

What they don' t know is in your beach bag won't hurt them. I always bring zip lock baggies to put a sandwich or snack in.

  10. Well, just finished up lunch and the wife is in search of cheesecake.

Not so much as a word has been said about it other than a few people saying "they'll probably reroute us"

I'll post once we hear something official assuming we still have cell service

Good luck on the cheesecake lol. I searched on one cruise and was told best way to get it as room service. Also keep us posted on Irma and safe travels. Leaving 9/9
