These magnetic hooks stick to most walls https://amzn.to/3B7BDIS

and will help to hang up jackets, hats, bags, towel etc etc.  We've even used them to hang a sheet from the ceiling when our daughter was in a port-a-crib and we needed to make it a darker area.

Also, one or two of these multiplugs.  Even though the enchanted has more outlets than previous ships, we all have more electronics than before also.

Thanks a bunch!  Just added these to my cart!!

  2. Good morning y’all! I am traveling with my husband and two adult sons on Enchanted Princess in two weeks. Initially it was just going to be myself and my sons so I booked a MS.  When my DH’s schedule opened up and he decided to join us there weren’t any more suites available.  I submitted a request through the upgrade program but with suites being sold out I doubt I’ll get an upgrade.

So MS it is!  I am looking for any tips on how to maximize our cabin space for four adults.  Any tips would be most graciously appreciated!

Also I know there are some tips on how to keep the shower curtains from sticking to you. Unfortunately even though I’ve read them in the past I can’t remember any of them and I can’t seem to find them now so if anyone has tips on that too I will be most thankful!

All your comments are very interesting.  I also heard they will be adding 360 to the Enchanted.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but my suggestion is they eliminate the smoking in the casino all together.  That beautiful new ship and what we learned from Covid should have been the best time to do that.  Give the smokers another spot that non smokers can stay out of without giving up what is usually a good experience.

We were recently on the Enchanted and our ONLY complaint about the whole experience was the Casino.  And we are casino people.  We did save money though since we did not use the casino as often as we normally do since the putrid smell kept us out.  We even wore masks in there.  UGH!

Many casinos have done away with the smoking and it has not hurt their attendance.  We heard many others making the same comments.

We noticed smokers on both sides of the casino and nothing was said to them.  We also noticed many just sitting at a slot machine and only occasionally playing just so they could smoke.  And as someone else mentioned, it has always been no smoking on formal nights, but not here.

Sorry for my rant but having lost both parents to smoking related diseases, and being very sensitive to the smell, it is a sore spot with me.

It’s not a rant! My mom went through a bout of breast cancer after about 15 years of quitting smoking.  And I have low risk asthma but cigarette smoke will tighten my chest up badly in a heartbeat.

I don’t want to take away from smokers’ enjoyment but we’re talking about health issues here.  Hope this doesn’t offend anyone!

  4. Thanks for your review!! I’ll be on the Enchanted Princess in May for a Mediterranean cruise so I am constantly trying to find new reviews for the ship.  And thanks for breaking it into good and bad buckets! I went to the bad section first - I like getting good news after the bad!😊

Are the cups included with the plus package or do you pay for them separately?

Ahh, just remembered I posted about this last summer, and some info on shuttles in other ports.  I posted on our roll call at the request of someone on the next cruise.  Here’s a link to Marseille, but starts at post 116 for Cadiz.

So there was both, a ship one - pay on ship,  and a free port one - pay on bus

nijh this is all such helpful info - thank you thank you thank you!!

  6. Hey y’all! I’ve decided that I am not interested in any of the excursions offered for Marseille and doing it on my own.  I have googled so many different ways trying to find information on shuttles from the port to Old (Vieux) Port.  Unfortunately the information has not been very clear.  I’ve read that you could walk to a free shuttle offered at the port but does Princess have their own shuttle and if so how much is the current cost pp? There’s not one listed under excursions but I’m really hoping there is.  Or am I able to catch a taxi from the port and how do I get it?

TIA very much from a dazed and confused cruiser!

Truly an individual choice.  There are many who post here who only sail in Suites, so we know where they will come out, and that is fine.  I personally detest the location of most of the Suites on Princess Ships (all the way up front, or all the way aft) and I would never pay extra for those cabins.  But again, that is me. I am not at all intrigued by the wake view.  Enchanted does have Penthouse Suites which are mid-aft on Riviera Deck.  One of the few ships to include those.  Not sure if those are in play for you, but for me, they would be more enticing.

Med Cruises are port-intensive and if you are off the ship at 8:00 a.m. most days, back on again at 4:30, then enjoy cocktails, dinner and some evening entertainment, the extra room in the cabin would not be all that necessary.  That is the way we tend to travel, so again, I would not spend the extra money.  Some day I will find a cruise where the cabin location and itinerary will make me try out a Suite.  But so far, nothing has enticed me to do so.

I assumed that they would not be stowaways,...hence I worded it the way I did. 😁

Very sensible advice - thank you!! It’s what I was thinking as well (re the cabin will just be for showering and sleeping) 😊

  8. Hey y’all! Just got my bidding offer to go from a mini suite to a premium suite for $675 per person.  I’m traveling w my DH and two adult sons (26 and 19).  Is the upgrade worth the extra $$ or should I save that for spending cash?  This is for a Mediterranean cruise on Enchanted.  This is my first Princess and Europe cruise so I’m overwhelmed!

    TIA!!

You wouldn’t have to make a whole new reservation, just have the one that is currently booked changed to a different cabin and they may even be able to just add your husband for the same price as you paid, provided it is in the same category.  You should not lose your deposit.
Any travel agent or Princess vacation planner worth their weight should be able to do this without issue.

Thank you Cruise Raider!! Hopefully it will be a simple process!

  10. Good morning y’all! I have a mini suite reserved for three passengers and my $300 deposit is nonrefundable. When I made my reservation my husband was not approved to take vacation but now things have changed at work and he is able to take the time. I can’t add him to my current cabin with our boys because it only holds three but there is another mini suite that holds 4 passengers. Would Princess apply my $300 deposit to my new booking or would I lose the $300? We are about a week prior to final payment.  I’m planning to call them but just want to get an idea of what y’all think they would do so that I could have a game plan ready to go. Thanks!
