Just wondering if the hairdryer pictured is the only one, or is there another handheld one elsewhere?

I have been to Cairo......I object to the fact that the stop was cancelled due to the "geopolitical situation". How can Oceania predict the situation over two months in advance? Secondly, if its not safe for Oceania passengers, why is it safe for Norwegian passengers?......

I know that this post may incur some serious wrath, however, I just have to ask......Oceania has cancelled the Cairo stop for a cruise which was not scheduled to arrive in Cairo until NOVEMBER 7th! Can they predict the future?
Some of you may reply that there is a travel advisory for Cairo, well, the advisory has been in place for some time. Why cancel now? Also, and here is what makes me think that something else is up, NCL Star is still stopping there a day later! (NCL owns Oceania) I would love to know what others think.....:)

I am booked on the November cruise that the OP is referring to...I booked the cruise because of the stop in Aqaba. Having lived and worked in the Middle East years ago and having visited since then, I can tell you that there is NEVER a so called "good time" to visit! I believe chances of seeing the sights are better if you are on a cruise ship....for this particular cruise we are scheduled to go through the Suez canal and the cruise ends in Dubai. If we do not make our stop in Port Said, not sure how we get to Dubai.....so that will affect the next cruise as well. :)

Hello Ruth,
I was wondering if you have any knowledge of how much approximately it would cost to take private transportation from the port of Haifa to Jerusalem and back the next day. (we have an overnight stop in Haifa). 4 persons. We have had a quote of $110/person each way......this seems high??
Thank You
Isabella

Hi There,
I'm really enjoying your review. Could you please tell me what kind of camera you are using for the underwater photos?
Thanks in advance...:)

Hi, Just got back from Star November 5th. Great Cruise! Lots of Hawaii themed stuff going on. Elua (Hawaiian duo) were fantastic! Food was good, dining room menus have Hawaiian themed items each night (marked with a little pineapple). Only went to casino one night (won $$ on slots) The International Cafe was a favourite, both from a food and service standpoint. Service throughout the ship was excellent, happy crew. Have fun on your cruise, wish I was going with you:)

Another vote for don't chance flying in same day......I'm a retired AC Flight attendant, now working part-time greeting Alaska cruise passengers arriving in Vancouver.....EVERY single day of embarkation, there are guests that do not make the cruise due to delayed flights..many times these guests are arriving from Seattle, LAX etc....also, no one has mentioned the delayed and lost baggage issue.......EVERY cruise has at least one or two guests that arrive day of cruise with missing luggage.....If you are going to arrive day of cruise, at the very least have one or two days worth of clothes in your carry on......just my humble opinion...:)
