WOW! I can see people have opinions one way or the other. Summary is you do what's right for you.
In order for CHEERS to be worth it, you have to consumer bottled water, specialty coffees, shakes, start drinking with breakfast, stay on the ship during the port days (to consume more drinks), and basically drink all evening until 1am to make it worth it. US$50 per day x 2 people + gratuity is just a whole lot of money to spend. To each his own, but not for us. Cheers!

We will be flying in same day as our cruise out of Fort Lauderdale (and it's a Sunday!) Since Carnival allows 1 bottle of wine per person, is there somewhere close to the port where we can buy bottles of wine? Thanks!

Hi everyone,
We'll be flying in same day as cruise sailing out of Fort Lauderdale.
Is there somewhere closeby that we could buy bottles of wine that we can bring onboard? Thanks!

We've booked a poolside cabana for our day in Grand Turk. Other than AC, what do they have? My son wants to know if they have wifi. Thanks for the photos!

We've booked a cabana to ensure we have a spot of our own :)

We are considering a private cabana rental for one of these ports of call.
Has anyone done either one or BOTH? Would love to hear feedback on which one is better. Amber Cove price is about double price of cabana at Grand Turk. I think this is because it includes more? Thanks!

We are booked in cabin 6203 on the Conquest. This is what they refer to as an inside cabin with a window. I stumbled upon it in my search. I thought I hit a gold mine!! Quite happy to have light from a window (inside cabins can be SO dark). But now worried that cabins this far at the front of the ship might be too rocky? Neither of us get motion sick (usually) but should this be a concern? Also wondering if others found these too far of a walk to get to the pools & dining? Any feedback is appreciated!
Thanks.:)

GREAT REVIEW & photos! Thanks!! we sail on this lovely Lady in less than 2 weeks. Can't wait!
My DS has a question.... do they have mini wheats cereal? I know, odd question. He is concerned about his fiber.

Thanks for everyone's comments. This confirms that we are making the right choice in STAYING ON THE SHIP and enjoying the day that way!!:D

Awesome review! Thanks for taking the time to share it with us. I can truly appreciate the time that goes into posting such a lengthy review. We will be on the Liberty June 29th. We're doing the Western Caribbean, but your pics of the ship were really nice!!:)

We are booked in 2 cabins, so it would cost $100 for the 4 of us to have FTTF. Not worth it for us since (a) we only do carry-on, (b) we plan to arrive at the port fairly early, and © aren't in any hurry to get off the ship in any of the ports.
I'll keep my $100 for better use.

I agree with Sharon. BEST REVIEW OF THE YEAR !!

Have a fantastic time! I know you will enjoy every minute of it.
And best of luck to Tracy as she starts her new career !

Hey Mike ?
Can you talk to my boyfriend ?? LOL Been living together for almost 7 years and I'm hoping your actions could rub off on him ! ;) At 44, I'm too old to be calling someone my "boyfriend" ! :D

I think for anyone who enjoys cruises, ANY month is a good month ! LOL DH and I cruised to the Bahamas in July and had VERY rough seas. Second cruise, we figured we'd try January and AGAIN had very rough seas. When I say rough, 75% of the ship was sick on both cruises !
Third cruise left out of NYC in March, and it was by far the smoothest.
I'm giving January another shot.... hope it's a good sail ! Nothing worse than being on a rough sail and having all the outter decks closed !!
Only so much Bingo one person can play !:D

By the way, it took me several days to read your fantastc review. I guess I kind of "treated" myself with a little bit each day for the past week or so ;)
I think you make a gorgeous couple and are blessed to have found each other !
Tracy is a lucky woman to have such a romantic man, and I'm sure Tracy must be a spectacular woman to have you want to be the best man you can be.
All I can say is, in the classic words from a classic chick flick (Jerry McGuire)...
"You had me at Hello"
Thanks for sharing your very personal story.

Love the Hyatt Summerfield, free breakfast, free internet, free airport shuttle or within a 3 mile radius of hotel. $53.20 a night, taxes included (Priceline). Spent the day shopping at the Dolphin Mall.
Mikey, I always thought priceline was one of those "bidding" sites. Did you choose this hotel, or you just got lucky ?
