  1. Got off Silhouette last week. March 12 sailing to st. Thomas, marten, and San Juan. Great ship. Specialty restaurant, Muranos. Fantastic . Have to have their Muranos Lobster. Absolutely great.

Their buffets are better than RCL for sure. We are D+ with RCCL, but now sail Celebrity. Two notches above RCL. Details, e.g. Linen Towels in

restrooms, China at the buffets, no plastic, towels on deck chairs already there, no checking them out. Etc, etc.

  2. You'll find different things on Celebrity than you'll find on Royal, e.g. real linen hand towels in the bathrooms, real China - not plastic dishes in the buffets, a welcome glass of champagne upon boarding, no checking out of pool towels - help yourself to towels draped on the pool chairs, cold towels waiting for you at the dock when boarding from a day at a port, and other details that make Celebrity two notches above Royal. We are Diamond plus on Royal, but now choose Celebrity as our cruise company of choice.

  3. I like the old formal nights. People, in general, act in part due to how they dress. People felt good when they wore their tuxedos. They felt dignified. What do we have now? Sloppy jeans, bad manners, and no respect for one another. Bring back real formal night! If you don't like it, don't cruise. Drive to the Bahamas.

  4. I use to call the cruise line direct, but I've found that vacations to go has far better deals. We've used them 4 or 5 times now with great success. Or if you are a Costco customer, try their travel club. I joined them one year so I could use one of their deals. Example, Oasis has western Caribbean deals in Costco every month next year. Check it out.
