  1. I agree that muster on the Navigator in February was the worst experience I have ever had on a ship. People were fainting, it was hot and we were standing for almost an hour. My husband and I are 75 and unable to stand for long periods of time. I have knee problems and my husband has had a heart attack. There is no excuse for passengers to be treated in this way. I am sure those in charge would say that the disabled were allowed to sit inside, but we did tell them that we were unable to stand any longer and we were told that it was almost over. It was quite a bit longer after that. It will keep us from sailing on the Navigator again.

  3. Currently 85 degrees and humid in Miami. We've been standing outside in the hot sun with 1000 other people less than a foot apart for the last 35 minutes. The lady next to me on my left felt like she was going to pass out. A girl on the right has a nosebleed. I'm pouring sweat, as is everyone else.

Why hasn't this been moved inside like on other ships?

  4. We have been in Blu on almost all S class ships. Reflection is the worst, but I think that is because there are extra AQ cabins, as well as a bunch of suites ( who also have access to Blu). Still, I feel it is better than MDR. Many people do not care for the food in Blu. Smaller portions, gourmet food. I sometimes prefer MDR food. Still I love being AQ. I really enjoy the spa and all the amenities.

  5. I agree that it is not so crowded from 6 - 7 pm. We have done a number of Transatlantics and we always get vouchers for those. There are so many Elites even the regular bars are packed. A lot of people go to sleep the Sunset bar. We do like having a specific Elite area to meet and get acquainted with other Elites, though.

  6. Thanks for that. As you can see from our 'signature' we have done P&O for a number of years since our 3 yrs with Celebrity. Just wondering if we should return to Celebrity for 2017 for an Eastern European / Greek Island cruise if P&O don't do one. Would be nice to come back to Celebrity again, though we are aware that it has probably changed and our much loved Silhouette seems 'stuck' cruising around the UK !

Thanks for the info - will look forward to November :)

We will be on Silhouette in Oct and for the TA. It will be returning to the Caribbean in Nov and be there til Spring.

  7. I appreciate all the feedback. It has been very enlightening.

When the breakfast is a menu rather than a buffet; what items/type of items are on the menu?

    Are there always Mimosas?

    I do love Mimosas. lol

    Carol

Yes, always Mimosas, Bloody Marys and Bellinis. If you like Mimosas, you will love Bellinis(they are peach flavored.) We always eat breakfast somewhere else and then go to the Elite breakfast for a roll or a little fruit and a Bellini. DH loves the specialty coffees. They also have smoothies and fresh squeezed orange juice. We are on that TA with you. Hope to see you. There will be lots of Elites. :)

  8. Will they let you embark and then get off the ship, buy wine, and get back on? How would they know if you had already brought on your two bottles of wine? Are you able to do this if you are on a B2B? And are you allowed 2 bottles of wine for the second leg of your B2B, in addition to the two that you bring on for the first leg?

  9. We really like the cabins toward the front of the ship because they are close to the Relaxation Room and hidden stairs to the Spa. I seldom have motion sickness and notice I definitely have more problems in that area of the ship. You have to be really careful where your room is located. Check out floor plans. Not under treadmills, but under Persian Gardens or acupuncture is okay. Make sure you are not under the AQ Spa Café. The Aft area is definitely quieter, but far away from Relaxation Room.

  10. Thank you so much. The photographs are amazing and I really enjoyed the review. We are doing this cruise in the fall and I have changed my plan in Mykonos because of your beautiful photos. We were going to Delos, but now I think we will just wander around in Mykonos. I had not realized how beautiful it is. I feel much better prepared for Jerusalem. I don't think I have ever seen pictures of the ship that captured everything so well. You must have been up every night photographing. I'm looking forward to your review of the Reflection, which we are going on next year.

  11. I booked online for 5 night package for our 15 night transatlantic. I am looking forward to trying all the restaurants on the Silhouette. I agreed to eat in a specialty restaurant on our first night but looking to change it to our second night because good chance they will offer discount the first night. I tried changing online but keeps coming up error. Hopefully if I call Celebrity they will allow me to change.

Last year on the Silhouette TA, the second night was formal night. Don't know if that will matter to you, but you might check.

  12. We had the 4 night package on the Silhouette last Oct. The first night was Tuscan and could be first or second night. After that we had a night in each restaurant on our choice of nights. (Silhouette has the Lawn Club up where the glassworks was.) If we had had the 5 night package, we would have had 2 nights in Tuscan (not our choice).

  13. I wear my card on a lanyard covered in rhinestones and I certainly hope that is ostentatious enough. :D If anyone is offended, that is their problem, not mine. Unfortunately, I generally do not have pockets and I would probably lose it if I did.

  14. There are literally people of every color and nationality on Celebrity, so I don't even notice skin color. The crew is a different nationality, generally. I think only in America do we make these distinctions. I now have cruise friends from all over the world.

  15. On our last Transatlantic, someone on our roll call suggested using Halo (A preventive medicated mouth spray) on the plane to Rome. We used this, as well as chewing Airborne gummies and cleaning all trays, etc. with Lysol wipes. I really felt these measures helped us to not get sick. I also had anti-bacterial masks available in case someone nearby was coughing or obviously sick. This sounds really over-reactive, but it was better than getting sick.
