My first cruise was in 1975.....You have no idea the changes for the good and the bad !  The good for example...endless food options.  The bad Mega ships !

Hi, we are also on that cruise leaving Barcelona on the 24/2/2016. Squish's review has been the best yet. I cannot wait for the each episode, and I check the website at least twice a day to see whether there has been an update. Very objective and gives a full idea of what can be expected from the ship, and various ports of call. If she mentions anything negative she always qualifies her statement by saying it is her personal point of view. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

So, as I see it...I will not count on Dry Cleaning..and if it is there good news.

I am concerned about my flight on the return Sunday...as I have limited mobility and can't go down any steps with luggage. Any suggestions on how I can handle getting off with ship with assistance. Is there some way I can request assistance from Guest Services...I would like to make arrangements or suggestions before I cruise ..... don't want to spoil my trip worrying about getting off...We are arriving two days before the cruise to "fall in love with Barcelona". These boards are so helpful. Even thought I have cruised many times....this is my first time in Europe. Thanks to all.

Love this review.....Going on the Epic 24th of February !!! All tips, comments and anything else is so much appreciated. Experienced cruiser....but first time for NCL. Any tips hints about the ports...are so needed.

I should also mention that our invoice states that we have the UBP free of charge. No mention of any additional cost at all.

No there will not. In order to verify, you can look at your NCL account online. If you have been charged a fee on those packages, it will appear on your account. But nothing will appear, because you weren't. :) You won't be responsible for any additional tips on the UDP and UBP unless you wish to pay them at the time you receive service.

Thank you so much. I will look on my account on line. I booked this through a discount cruise outlet and a little concerned as in the past I have always booked with the cruise line directly. I need to align with someone at NCL. Any advise on that. My first time in Europe,my first time not booking through cruise line and first cruise with NCL....Can you tell I am a little nervous.

This will be my first time on NCL.....I booked a Western Italy Cruise.....11 days in Feb 2016. It was booked in February 2015.....in my reservation both the UDP and UBP are included at no additional cost.:). Will there be any service fees on my packages since my reservation was made in February of this year. I am totally confused. I welcome any other NCL advice that you can share with me..

This is an 11-day cruise for us. We have always done 7-day cruises. How many "dress up or not" (or also called Norwegians Night Out) nights are there on an 11-day cruise? Thanks for the previous answers. We are going to the Caribbean in December, but I can't stop obsessing about this one. First time to Europe for us! A bucket list item for sure!

We are looking forward to our FIRST 11 DAY cruise and first trip to Eurpose for me. It is Western Italy from Barcelona end of February...we are planning on the weather being similiar to our Alaskan Cruise the last week in May....layers and more casual in the evenings...Does this sound reasonable.

Maybe so, but I just listened to yesterday's Frank DelRio conference call and he mentioned that he had very little negative feedback about the institution of the $7.95 room service fee. Comments here and in other social media fall on deaf ears.

Do I understand this correctly .....for a morning coffee and fruit, I will now need to pay $7.95. If I am wrong (I hope) so please tell me....cruising in February 2016.

I think OP is asking is that with so many people having frr UBP or UDP will the restaurants be so overwhelmed that you can't get a reservation.

 

As for the bars I guess they might have to wait a few extra minutes if a lot of pax have the UBP.

 

Of course i could have totally misinterpreted what they were asking.

Thanks so much...all of this information is so helpful. I am a planner...so will probably try and book ahead. Also...what is everyone's favorite; restaurant. We like all kinds of food. I have sailed on Carnival and they have a drink called "Kiss on the Lips".....does NCL have their version of a Peach Mango frozen drink....We are sailing on the Epic in late February early March.

Thoughts and suggestions needed. When I booked an 11 day NCL cruise. it included the Ultimate Drinks and Ultimate Dining package. Now is seems like it is the norm. I am not so worried about the Drinks....lots of bars....but I am concerned with the Dining ........will I be able to get reservations and what restaurants are included. Thanks for any help.

I don't have any memory of the name of the ship we took from Miami to Freeport over Thanksgiving weekend in 1969. It had a casino, which is where I spent the time. Wasn't happy with cruising back then. Any help will be appreciated. It was a 3 day cruise over, spend 2 nights there, and cruise back.

Not sure if this is helpful.....I cruise in 1975...on the Flavia....wonderful small Italian ship...Miami to Bahamas....we went to Freeport as well.

First Time Overseas.....booked 11 day Epic late February...hope that weather is cool not cold....but so excited great NCL deals and perks. Any advice.

Here is my plan sailing out of Galveston and wanting to purchase the Cheers Program....experienced. Will not be taking any shore excursions....this cruise going to say on the ship and enjoy the ride. Relax.....I will have a couple of Fuzzy Navels with brunch/breakfast. Diet Cokes (3) in the morning by the pool. Fun Frozen Drinks (2-3) in the afternoon by the pool. A Martini or two before Late Dining....Diet Coke (2) with dinner. Two after dinner drinks at the Comedy Club and finally another fun drink at the casino. My goal is to try new things.

Is the Cheers Program for me !!!!!!!
