  1. On the Regal Princess do they use real eggs for breakfast on the Lido Deck?

On most ships and many restaurants, they use the liquid eggs. I’m lactose intolerant and can only eat the “real cracked eggs”. You can wait in the omelette line and ask them to make scrambled eggs with the “real cracked eggs”. They’re always happy to make mine the way I ask.

    Happy cruising!

  2. If you are doing the Lamanai ruins with Carnival in Belize, make sure you try to price match with this company. https://belizecruiseexcursions.com/ You book through Carnival, and then fill out and submit the price match form with Carnival. If they approve, they will give you an onboard credit for 110% of the price difference. Saved us $50 each. Easy peasy.

In Costa Maya, we loved Tropicante. Very cheap and very relaxing. Look them up on trip advisor.

Thank you for mentioning this! We’ll be doing Lamanai Ruins on the Conquest in May. I filled out their price guarantee form and now have $26 per person onboard credit. It’s not as much as you got, but I’ll take it.

  3. It’s not just noro, but it’s flu, brochitis, etc. I have an immune deficiency so I bring individually wrapped sanitizing wipes with me. After using the serving spoons and tongs, I use the it. If I go back for seconds or dessert, I use another sanitizing wipe. I also wash my hands often. Even with these precautions, there’s no guarantee I won’t get sick. It’s a risk I’m willing to take.

  4. Looking for a pre-cruise FLL hotel that offers something to do other than actually just sit IN the hotel. Nearby eats, maybe a place to get a drink, that kind of thing. Thanks in advance!

Although the brand isn't our favorite, the Embassy Suites on 17th is a great location with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. There's a great Italian restaurant named Bravo nearby. They also offer a ride to the port for a minimal fee. Enjoy your trip!

  5. So glad you didn't have to go through all the attempts I had to go through - I was SO completely frustrated. Not that it was so much of a big savings, but just the idea that it took so much to get it! I was so upset with them, if this wasn't our 50th anniversary celebration and my husband really wants to do this itinerary, I may have just thrown it all in!

I'm sorry you had such a hard time getting them to reprice your cruise. Persistence paid off. Our Panama Canal cruise, April 8 will be our 17th cruise overall. It's our first to the Panama Canal and our first with Princess.

    Happy 50th anniversary!

  6. Thanks for the heads up - we're going to Panama Canal, but this new promotion is for new bookings only. 😡

We're doing the Panama Canal in April and I was able to have it repriced. It didn't have to be a new booking. We saved $100 on this repricing and $900 on the previous repricing. We're also able to keep the same on board credits.

    Happy cruising!
