  1. But note that it will take some time to get to you. 4-6 weeks is what they normally quote.

If you're counting on using those funds and your cruise is coming up in the near future, you may want to call and ask to cancel it and have the amount added to your booking as onboard credit. (They absolutely can do it - you may have to talk to a few people to find someone who knows how...)

Do you know what department to talk to ? I'm dealing with this right now and whenever I call customer service I get the run around and am getting really frustrated.

  2. I don't know the details as I don't play in the casino, but from what I've read of others experiences , if you want to cash out any funds you have left you need to go to the casino. You put funds on your card and then play a slot , after which you can go cash out. If this has changed recently I'm sure someone can correct me [emoji4]

  3. The Social Media app is $5 per day. It can be purchased one day at a time or as a package for everyday of the cruise. We paid $40 or $45 for an 11 day cruise so there is a little price break during the longer cruises. This works with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,, and maybe another app or two. The facebook messenger and calling both worked on our Elation cruise in April. The wifi can be a bit spotty, so there's not always a great connection with the calls.

There is also the Carnival hub app. You download the app and then pay $5 to use it during your cruise. It is good for connecting with others ON THE SHIP, as well as getting the fun times, ship information and maps, your sign and sail info, and activities. It's only available on some of the ships and only good for the duration of the cruise. Each time you cruise you have to pay $5 to use it. It does not allow you to use other apps so it is not for keeping in touch with people at home.

  4. Regarding the cashing out for the remaining balance. I have never done it but I have read on a number of threads that there is a way to cash out through the casino for the full balance. You have to get a slot card then cash out. If you use it on table games I guess there's a 3% fee. There is some debate on whether they are doing that on the slots now too. Depending on your balance, it might be worth the 3% just to have it back in cash.

  5. My son was 12 when he last went and we had the same Circle C experience. After the first night he had no interest whatsoever, and preferred to stay in the room a bit while we went out. I think the age range is a little to broad, as a twelve year old's interests are much different than a 15 year old's. And I think Camp Carnival is really more 9 & under. They need one right in the middle.
