We are on the same cruise. Are you a Halagonian?
We have lived there, but currently we live in Antigonish

We have a sailing on the Allure of the Seas for Jan 8/22. Also if our flights are not cancelled and we get a negative test back we are a go. We have our 2 doses and the booster, are both retired in our early 60's. Have no health issues and are wanting to do Something. Fingers are crossed all will be well!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

I'm wondering the same thing. We will be on the Armonia this February and there is no option for me to view / reserve excursions...
Per my call to the MSC office, Canadian customers have to book excursions onboard. We are not able to prebook excursions prior to cruising. I am on-board on the 21st and there is still no option for excursions.

Hi everyone! Here's hoping someone has the recipes for the 2 Martini's that my husband and I had on the Carribean Princess:
Quantum of Solace Martini, and
Skyfall Martini.
At the time the staff wrote the recipes down for us and now that I want to make them, I cannot find the recipes. :(:loudcry:
Here's hoping with my fingers crossed!
Thanks
Sharon

Hi everyone, I am trying to decide between a cruise on Celebrity Equinox or NCL Jade. Has anyone been on both and which did you prefer? Both have the same itinerary to the ABC islands and same dates this fall.

My husband and I did this tour about 4 years ago and it was awesome! I am not a strong swimmer and no need to be. We all have life jackets on and if someone happens to fall out, the staff are experienced and we quickly stop and pick them up. There is also a couple of staff members who are kayaking beside us and are keeping a watch over everything, It was one of the best excursions we have ever been on. In fact we are back to Costa Rica this coming March and we are doing it all again! We cannot wait!:D

I believe that is true.
I just went to Modify guest and scrolled to the bottom and checked the box to prepay tips. Than made the payment. I just did this a couple of days ago! Hope this helps! I booked online and not through a TA.:)

We have also found on past sailings with Princess that the set dining times do not match up with the show times, hence we do the any time dining on Princess. :D:D
Went to the Welcome Aboard Show tonight. Well, as much as we could. The scheduling was stupid. Anyone with an 8:00 dinner had to leave the 7:30 show early, and wouldn’t make the 9:00 one.Comedian was pretty funny for the few minutes we saw him. The dancers weren’t together, but hopefully that will improve throughout the cruise.

On March 17th cruise! Cannot wait to hear more!

What I do is going into the dining section on my cruise planner and at the bottom you can pick my time dining times for each day. Same time each day or different times. You do have to reserve one day at a time, so it takes awhile.:);)

My DH and I received a moveover offer from Princess for our Jan 6/17 sailing on Carribean Princess. We received 3 emails over a 12 hour period, with basically what has been reported. Unfortunately we were already in Fort Lauderdale when we received the offer less than 24 hours from sail away. Was a great offer, but not for us this time! ;);) Not sure how Princess decides who to offer this deal to.

I had to cancel today and rebook. Got lucky that our same time slot was available. Saved $45!

I saved over $ 72 on the excursions I had booked for our March Cruise - $ 50 on one tour alone - for 2 people! Awesome! More cocktails for me!:D:):p;)

DH and I have done this hike twice and both times we wore our track (gym) shoes. The second time it was raining in the early morning and so the ground was a bit wet. Both times we had no issues. It is a very tough climb, but we enjoyed it each time! Well worth the sweat! :):)

All packed to go....2+ days! :D :D

We have only ever cruised in an inside room except for a last minute change in plans where the only room available was a balcony. We never used it and so it was a waste.
It comes down to what you enjoy! For us its off the ship in the ports. On sea day, people watching or enjoying quiet reading time somewhere on deck! I do get a bit claustrophobic once in a while, but just open the door and all is ok. But I really enjoy the total darkness for sleeping! Oh and more $$ for cruises:):D:D

We have stayed in one before and it is very roomy. However the trade off is the front location does not have a balcony, but two large round windows instead. My preference would be deck 7 or 8 as it provides a nice unobstructed view forward. RCI will typically not book that stateroom for less than four passengers as it holds up to six. If it is available for two and at a reduced rate as you indicate, then it would be a very good value as it is quite a bit larger than a standard balcony stateroom. Perhaps it is available as it is a transatlantic sailing.
We were able to book room 7200 FOV on Liberty of the Seas for 3 people about 2 months out from sailing. We now have 4 in our party and I tried to change to 2 interior rooms, but we are after last payment and not able to do that. ( we just thought it would be better for us to have 2 bathrooms for 4 )
I am excited to see how much space we would have in this room. It indicates 2 times the size of an interior room! We will see!;)

Have a great cruise! I will be following along as I will be boarding on the 3rd!
Enjoy your cruise!

I put the copies in Dropbox.
Perfect Idea!

I definitely agree with previous posts, no earlier than 11 am. DH and I have cruised out of San Juan 4 times and a few times the lines at the airport have been very long. First agriculture, than luggage drop off and than security! Too many places to get caught up in.

We always ride the bus. No schedule. You just wait for it. Easy transportation!
Yes for sure, easy transportation and cheap too! Just have to have a vacation, slow mode! No need to be in a rush! :D:D:D

Has anyone heard of or stayed at The Verdanza Hotel? I tried Priceline hoping to get the Embassy Suites and got this one instead. I've never heard anything about it. I've looked at Trip Advisor, but wondered if anyone here is familiar with it?
Hey there!
My DH and I usually stay it this hotel. It is close to the airport, but not too close. It is a block and 1/2 from the beach! There is nice pool and play area fr the kids. There is no casino, but there are some close. There are restaurants in the hotel and close by. There is a Walgreens about 3 blocks away and a grocery store close by as well, in case you need to pick up something.
We have it booked for our upcoming vacation in November! We have always enjoyed our stay at Verdanza and it is only about a 15 minute cab ride to the ship! The staff are amazing and will take good care of you!
Enjoy your trip! :):)

The review of the last three days of our cruise vacation in Hawaii will be a little delayed as we move three kids into college over the next three days.
Thanks for the kind comments and interest in the review. I hope I am saving the best for last.
Love this review! It is very informative and entertaining! My husband and I are eagerly anticipating this trip in October. Thanks for emailing the dailies and good luck with the moving. We are doing the same here on Monday, moving our son to university.
Thanks again

I noticed today that our Jan 6th cruise price for an interior dropped by $300 after the final payment on the weekend. I called RC and we were able to move to a Superior Balcony for an extra $100.
