We done last august on brittania and didn't have good weather at all , apart from the odd sunny spell it was mainly overcast with drizzly showers now and then, but quite warm!!

despite the weather we had a fantastic cruise, the fjords are spectacular and we would do it again in a heartbeat, but we fancied a bit of guareteed sunshine this year (hopefully) so have opted for the canaries on Ventura.

We are following your itinerary did exactly the same cruise last year and opted for Canaries and sun this year!

We're on that cruise too. Never used the retreat but it looked good when we toured around it on Britannia.

I'm a bit further north than you in Lancashire. We always drive down and stay over in Winchester the night before to start the holiday a bit earlier. Nice spa hotel with a pool and they do a deal with a meal and cocktail in the restaurant which is lovely. I think it was about £140 for two of us with dinner, bed and breakfast and use of the spa. And Winchester is beautiful,for a wander around and only about 15 -30 minutes to the port.

When we were on Oceana a couple of years ago there were lots of sleeping toddlers in prams all over the place at night. i don't think people seem to mind as long as they aren't playing havoc.

We used Rome in a Limo who were fantastic - shared with a family on the ship to save money. Air con Mercedes vans were a God send!

I am from Lancashire not far from Bolton and I have never heard of it either! Butter pie, yes, window pie, no.
