  1. Thanks, but we will be on Carnival Pride. I get conflicting reports of whether I can take 2 weeks worth of carry on at the beginning. I guess it's like all those things and is hit and miss. We had a bad experience on the Liberty B2B when we were going to get off to replenish and we weren't allowed because we waited too long and the next week's pax were boarding. ** So I am making plans in advance! Almost wondering since we are driving if I should leave 2nd week's "stuff" in the car and just get off the ship in between cruises and put everything in my carry on and reboard! :p

**if you were wondering and this confuses you...we had an "in transit" pass on Liberty in PC. We had to exit the ship, but then we reboarded and were given a glass of champagne and a picture was taken of the whole B2B group. THEN we went to our cabin to get our carry ons to get off the ship, shop and then reboard. But by that time it was later and as mentioned, the next cruise's pax were boarding and they didn't have a security area set up for getting OFF the ship. By the time they did it was 2:30 with a reboard by 3:30 and sail away at 4, and I was too terrified of missing the ship! I DID "complain nicely" to guest services and they gave me a complimentary bottle of wine.

We just did a b2b on the carnival breeze in February and brought 2 cases of water, etc. we had no problem bringing anything on with us. If they question you you just have to show them your 2 boarding passes that you are doing a b2b. Stay on the ship and enjoy the peacefulness.

  2. Where would Vista be going that it would take 11 days to get there from NY? Isn't Miami too close for that itinerary?

It has to go someplace other then the United States. So maybe a stop in the Bahamas, or Puerto Rico or maybe even Bermuda and then down to Miami. I hope they release the info soon!!!

  3. T

By the time we got off the ship, the area near the pier was already crowded. We went down to the next section in front of the really big beach bar. The chairs were free. We paid $15 for an umbrella that the attendants moved around for us throughout the day.

A word of caution...there were 2 ships in port that day. Luckily we got there before the 2nd one docked. Once those people started getting off the place went crazy with people running and grabbing chairs!

Thank you! I knew not everything was free lol yea I'm not too sure we want to be on the beach right where we walk off. I like peace and quiet and relaxation. Or try to anyway!

  4. According to the post above yours, chairs are free. Umbrellas are also free right at the port.

And the 2 above that said "yes" to chair and umbrella rentals. Lol that is why I was asking how much they are to rent.

  5. Can you get a day pass ahead of time

Only if that is one of the hotels rules. Most day passes you go right to the lobby desk and ask for day passes and pay for it there. I like not having to make reservations in advance in case it rains etc. then you just don't go and you don't lose any money.

  7. I noticed a significant price drop on my cruise on 12/30. I submitted the price protection form..and heard nothing! I resubmitted yesterday and still nothing! I check my e-mail today and had two notices: "Mail Delivery Status (Delayed.) I wonder if that will eliminate my chances of OBC. Has anyone experienced this before?

Yes! Same thing happened to me twice yesterday! Weird email isn't it? It almost looks like spam

  8. I have a question for everyone. Since when do they take taxes into consideration with price drops. My February cruise had a $10 pp price drop and submitted form and was denied and called carnival twice and got the same response. No price drop obc cus even tho the cruise went down $10 the taxes went up $10 so I'm not entitled to the obc. So needless to say the fare viewer price doesn't mean anything anymore because the taxes aren't included in the da reviewer price??? I'm so confused. Is this a new carnival price drop rule now?

  9. I booked the pride for July 2015 this past spring. The prices are crazy but I figured I can pay a little every month. We are getting 2 balcony connecting cabins. One sleeps 2 the other sleeps 3. It's for my sons college graduation. I check every day for price drops and did get about a $260 total between the 2 cabins about a month ago. I'm hoping for a big drop in price like last year!!

  10. When oh when will carnival have a sale that doesn't include them picking your cabin???? I'm kinda getting annoyed. Lol I want more obc!!! But I don't want to lose my cabin! Ok I'm done complaining lol 😏😁

  11. A word of advise.... There are 2 coconut beach clubs on the island. Make sure you tell the driver it is the coconut beach club at yupton!!!!!! I think it is yupton estates. Our driver got confused and tried to drop us off at the other coconut beach. When you make your day pass reservation they will tell you what to tell the driver and where to go. Obviously our driver was not listening! Lol But anyway. It was a lovely day and a beautiful peaceful beach! Enjoy!!
