i had tried to book some shore excursions around 6 weeks ago now, the price i was charged was different to what was listed as what the excursions were, i managed to get my kids booked for the nasa tour then i was unable to book anyone else on any other tours the site would go so far as to take my credit card then wouldnt finalise. i called royal and they said they knew there was a glitch and would sort it out....long story short i have spent over 7 hours on the phone to them, even longer waiting on callbacks that never happen, no reply to email, the service has been just shocking to say the least. i completely lost it today as apparently nasa is no longer available to book (im assuming it has sold out) so i have 3 children going to nasa with no parents and no bookings available to add us. they agreed to give me back the amount of the overcharge on the tours i booked today as to what i should have been charged if i was able to book them when i originally tried and they had sorted it out then (prices have gone up a bit) i told them after all i have been put through with this they should be compensating me for my time and stress and they are having none of it saying basically im lucky they even sorted the shore excursion refunds.....im not the type to demand compensation for anything other than a disater but this has really got me mad beyond belief.....am i correct in thinking they should be compensating me for hours on the phone and weeks of stress, im just in disbelief that any company can treat its customers like that! what do i do from here?

i think everyone missed the point of my post, royal cant advertise one price then charge another and then not fix it! who do i contact to complain that will actually get me a result without another 5 hours on the phone!!!! even if i cancel the kennedy space i have to call them and i still have to book through them for sting ray city....and in the weeks since i tried to book there have been even more price increases too
-
i want to do the jetkis and also the sting ray city on cococay so have to book.
-
no problems doing so and plenty of availability
-
we are wanting to do kennedy space centre and the other stuff on cococay and im told as cococay is private then i have to book through the boat...also we are from australia not the usa so would prefer to not get ourselves in any trouble with outside tours getting back late or anything, i just want it easy and stress free.

hi everyone...long story short, booked shore tours weeks ago and the price advertised at the time was not the price i was charged (it was quite a bit higher) i was then unable to book any tours at all so ended up with my 3 children (we have 2 sep bookings ) booked to go to kenedy space and then we couldnt book ourselves...(we also tried booking other tours and couldnt get past the payment page) anyhow called royal and they knew there was a problem re charges....weeks later and close to 5 hours on the phone with many promises of resolution and call backs etc etc i am more than upset and i just dont seem to get anywhere with them except that they are having many complaints re the same thing...something about grats being added when they shouldnt....in the weeks since i tried to book and sort this out prices have jumper quite considerably for what we were trying to book basically making it all out of budget for us...who do i contact that is actually going to be able to assist, i would just cancel and loose out if i were not to loose many thousands on deposits, we cruise in march.

hi there, we want to do the jetski tour on cococay, tried to book but it says my 15 year old cannot drive and has to passenger? is this correct? do we have to book online or are there other places on the island that offer private hire? are these generally available throughout the day or am i best to book?
-
booking excursions for our march cruise, everything i have booked gives me one price then when i have paid it has charged me quite a bit more, anyone else had this problem, rang them and all i got was gibberish and to call back tomorrow!
-
running off now to book!

we are doing a big trip to the usa from australia, doing the quantum cruise in march, so many reviews on dining, you don't need res for dinner, so many saying you do and they didn't book then missed out on the restraunts they wanted, I'm torn both ways, i want to be able to have a good look when on the ship and book what i want when i want on board, but i don't want to get stuck not being able to do so if everything good is booked out, we are travelling with 3 teens and they may or may not want to dine with us also, won't know till they get there and make friends i guess! what do we do, for those that have cruised, book? or will we be fine? also on the days we are in ports late I'm guessing we won't be on for dinner at all, is it easy enough to get in for lunch at the restraunts? we will prob eat ourselves silly for lunch on those days and skip dinner while in port.

i have been dieting for my life before our upcoming trip and I'm going to be cutting it fine on the weight limit for the ifly, which i have my heart set on doing, are they going to whip out the scales and weight me and possibly turn me away lol, seriously how do they check if your under weight limit?
-
we have 2 deck 3 rooms (3558) and i have to say i think i have only ever seen several people refer to being down that low, why is that? are there not many rooms down there, are the rooms there the lowest rooms you can get? both are ocean view, i almost think that far down ill be underwater! i always thought most of the inside cabins were on lower levels and the lower the level the less desirable the position.
-
is she considered a child? booked for her and myself, couldn't justify adding hubby and the teens in for the charge.
-
have not yet seen pics of a triple sleeping cabin, can anyone post pics please? also anyone know if there is a weight limit or minimum age on ifly?
-
doing both ports for the first time, was thinking of doing the segway tour..anyone else been is it worth it? any nice waterfalls anywhere on the island? find your run of the mill village and garden tours a bit on the boring side.....does anyone on the islands hire the nifty fifty/moped style scooters or anything?
-
we are onboard in less than a week, just wondering how those that have been on her recently found the entertainment and nightlife as such...have heard she is geared to a much older crowd and am quite worried the activities and other things on board will be less than entertaining for us younger ones! would love to hear everyones experiences...im sure we will have an awesome time either way..
-
but from a port in new york, cost me a bomb as there are 5 of us going ($7600 for 7 nights) i hope she's worth every penny but one of those bucket list ships with everything ticked off!
-
we are coming from melbourne australia so no fancy water parks anywhere near me, i was overly excited about the yellow slide on carnival spirit and certainly got my moneys worth lol....at my age and size if i go on the flo rider i will either kill myself or someone else!
-
everyone is totally disappointed! lucky there is lots of other stuff...but seriously all that and no water slide :-(
-
if so are there any pictures? i was so carried away looking for all the cool stuff forgot about the must have basic of the waterslide!
-
i really wanna go on it and think I'm going to be too heavy
-
always wanted to do one of these mega size ships with all the cool stuff....life is short and this is gonna be awesome! we are sailing on century in 4 weeks and I'm sure when I'm on quantum the century is going to seem like it was a very small ship! anyone else booked on her? not going till march 15 but thats not too far away i guess...
-
I'm having real trouble finding cruises with ships that have lots of great activities for the teens..was hoping ice rink, rock climbing wave pool etc. i think tonight I've searched every cruise place on the net and nothing really ticks all my boxes so think i really need to talk to a us TA, I've decided i can either go LA and do disney land and cruise form there or orlando and cruise from there...the LA at this stage is going to be way cheaper ....
-
we are wanting to do disney world this year and seeing as im going all that way would love to do a cruise. the price i have just been quoted by my aust agent is very high i think and im wondering if it is possible to book through a us TA if so how does one go about this?
