Which ship are they sailing? It will be more of a hassle if it is Anthem as you do not get sea passes at check in, they are in your cabin. You use your set sail pass to get on the ship, buy drinks, etc. until you have access to your cabin.

 

If it is another ship, it is less of a hassle but still will take longer to board.

Why does anthem do it this way?

Does the menu vary at all from night to night?

I see 291 cruises available, including those on the Jewel to Australia/South Pacific. I logged in to see them though, not sure if that still makes a difference. Weird, it was 291 but now is only 281.... oh well, they must be still working on it.

How are you all seeing these? I only show the Pride? Grrr

We had been pricing a 7 day on the epic this week as well as rccl with a similar itinerary. Checked again today and the price is the same with the promo for free guests 3 and 4...Yay for increasing 1&2 to cover it, ncl. Grrr

SOME FINAL THOUGHTS

 

We had a fantastic time and I would absolutely love to sail the Escape again one day. I guess it is a sign that you are having a great time when you don’t go to the gym once all week (either that or I'm just a lazy SOB). I have no complaints about the food, staff, activities, entertainment or stateroom. My favorites parts of the ship are the Grotto, the Waterfront (especially the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar) and the waterslides.

 

If I have to nit pick I would say the negatives are the cluttered pool deck, the wifi kicking me off constantly and the movement of the ship. However, none on these negatives will prevent me from cruising the Escape again.

 

Long wait times at the bars? Ship too smokey? I never experienced either of these. This is one great ship. Well done NCL.

Had to select a port arrival/check in time when doing online check in. I thought suites were exempt? We're in a non-Haven suite. Does this make a difference? Or is this new?

I had to add that today, as well. Of course, all the earlier times are gone. I printed my edocs a few weeks ago and plan to get there as early as we want. You are correct-Suites and haven are exempt.

I always wear the Disney one. It's the most convenient and has a separate slot to hold receipts. The Disney Magic cruise was my least favorite but has the best lanyard!

You can come and go as you please.

We reserved a beach day at coco reef, then the summer gems tour, and the boys have a fishing charter day 3 and I'm shopping! We have 38 days to go!!!

H6 aft penthouse is by far my favorite. It's a walk to the haven area but the extra room, extra bathroom in addition to the awesome balcony make up for it by far!!!

At $500 pp, I think it is totally worth it. The only downside is you will always want to travel in a Haven suite [emoji1]!

Hi Ari421, the cabin is the same as a regular cabin. The difference is the spa pass. My DH and I love the spa on the BA. It does get crowded at times, but you can always find a time in the day where it is quiet there. It is a nice break from the crowds at the pool deck. There are no other saunas/steam rooms on the ship available for all. The heated loungers are heavenly and a great place for a nap.

 

The spa is useful in bad weather and is a great escape! Although it looks like good weather ahead for our sailing!

I love Italian food but I did not like La Cucina at all. We are skipping it this upcoming cruise.

12:01 am EST. I stayed up to purchase ours last weekend and was able to get 2 right at 12:01am. When I woke up Monday morning I wanted to see if it was a waste to stay up late so I checked to see if they were still available and they were not. It made it worth being tired that day!

We had such a great time on the breakaway that it is the first ship we are sailing again! Last time to bahamas, this time to bermuda! Enjoy your cruise!
