1. Which ship are they sailing? It will be more of a hassle if it is Anthem as you do not get sea passes at check in, they are in your cabin. You use your set sail pass to get on the ship, buy drinks, etc. until you have access to your cabin.

If it is another ship, it is less of a hassle but still will take longer to board.

Why does anthem do it this way?

  2.
I did the Haven on the Getaway and loved it, it should be very similar to what was on the escape. On some of the smaller ships the haven does not include it's own restaurant.
We did haven on BA and are doing it again in a few weeks. Awesome and very similar to GA and escape. We are ruined now too. Haha
  3. SOME FINAL THOUGHTS

We had a fantastic time and I would absolutely love to sail the Escape again one day. I guess it is a sign that you are having a great time when you don’t go to the gym once all week (either that or I'm just a lazy SOB). I have no complaints about the food, staff, activities, entertainment or stateroom. My favorites parts of the ship are the Grotto, the Waterfront (especially the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar) and the waterslides.

If I have to nit pick I would say the negatives are the cluttered pool deck, the wifi kicking me off constantly and the movement of the ship. However, none on these negatives will prevent me from cruising the Escape again.

Long wait times at the bars? Ship too smokey? I never experienced either of these. This is one great ship. Well done NCL.

Thanks for following along and thanks for all the nice comments.

    Fantastic review! Thanks.

    Couldn't resist quoting speedo-man pic!

  4. Hi Ari421, the cabin is the same as a regular cabin. The difference is the spa pass. My DH and I love the spa on the BA. It does get crowded at times, but you can always find a time in the day where it is quiet there. It is a nice break from the crowds at the pool deck. There are no other saunas/steam rooms on the ship available for all. The heated loungers are heavenly and a great place for a nap.

The spa is useful in bad weather and is a great escape! Although it looks like good weather ahead for our sailing!

My DH and I bought the spa pass.

How did you buy the pass? Online or onboard?

    TIA

  5. 12:01 am EST. I stayed up to purchase ours last weekend and was able to get 2 right at 12:01am. When I woke up Monday morning I wanted to see if it was a waste to stay up late so I checked to see if they were still available and they were not. It made it worth being tired that day!

Thanks so much!!! I'll set my alarm :)
