  1. Hey all,

We have been planning for our alaska cruise on the explorer in May and to put it honestly - I like a deal. We booked this cruise the day it was released in 2016 as we knew we wanted something "cheap" to achieve diamond status and with living in Seattle, we wouldn't have to fly which would make this a "cheap cruise" for us.

We did a trans-atlantic in November and in our cruise planner they were offering 30% off drink packages. Also when Royal was having the "online cruise planner sales" we were able to get our surf and stream package cheap and they offered a discount on Chef's table - but only for the transatlantic not for our alaska cruise.

When I view my cruise planner for the alaska cruise, the only discounts I'm seeing is for internet packages.

Anyone have insight on why Royal may not be offering discounts on cruise planner offerings for our Alaska cruise?

    Thanks,

    Meghan

  2. After reading the OP, I called RC for pricing for the Deluxe package for our Alaskan cruise. The representative told me that Alaska was not included. Has anyone ever received a discount for the Deluxe beverage package for an Alaskan cruise??

Thanks for calling! I kept wondering why my alaska cruise didn't show any discounts at all for any drink package. Extremely lame of Royal. Full price is an absurd amount of money.

  3. So I am emerald and I do receive the emails, so mine states that I would get the 20% off new drink packages if I book before I set sail. That being said, when I log into my account and try to purchase a drink package, no discount is offered... When I click the "more info" link in the email, it takes me to a brochure about the packages which I'm sure everyone is getting.

Frustrating, irritating, RCCL IT at it again.

    Anyone else having this issue?

  4. We were on the serenade in August/September. We disembarked at about 0830 and I believe we were at the airport by 0930 for an 1140 flight. No problem at all. RCCL always gives the option of walking off the ship with your luggage at your own pace if you want to leave as soon as you are in port. But as everyone else has said, that's if everything goes smooth. For us, it did. We wanted a 1030 flight but were talked out of it from this board, but we would have made it just fine.
