From what you see from your cabin door, it's a wall with pictures.    If you have a look on the Deck 12 deck plan, I'm not long back from a studio cabin 12106, which is on that side of the corridor.   I heard absolutely nothing.   I suspect it's a crew corridor.   Delightful stewards all along that corridor, friendly, polite and smiley.

You've also got passenger cabins below and above you.     You'll be fine.   Enjoy.

Thank you. We are concerned that if it's crew areas there maybe some noise, especially from doors slamming. We always ensure we book a cabin with cabins above & below. Thanks again

  2. Hi I can only find one company that offers car hire from Tenerife Cruise Port in Santa Cruz Tenerife.

The only one I can find s CICAR & they are expensive.

Having lived in Tenerife ( & knowing of numerous car rental companies ) I find it hard to believe that only

one company has rental cars on the port site.

We do not want picking up & be taken to a the car hire site.

    Please can anyone advise?

  3. As  of the UK Covid restrictions are being lifted from the 16th August is it not time for cruise ships to allow

their passengers to get off in ports without having to book the ships excursions?

The additional costs of these excursions make the cruise so much more expensive and is very unfair to

enforce this once the restrictions are lifted.

  4. Sign upsheet is a good idea. Thanks for your attention.

I have been trying for days tp enrol for a Cnnections Party on the Celebrity Eclipse cruis on the 14th June 15.

I am registred but the party list is not avaialble, can we go to Guest Relations once we board & put our names done there?

  5. It appears we need several different currencies on our forthcoming cruise on the Eclipse on 14th June 15.

I have been advised not to use Euros or Dollars in the countries with their own currencies. Apparently it is risky as we could be conned with the conversion if we spend euros or dollars.

I have no idea how much to take for each port as the currencies could be costly to change back to sterling if we take too much.

    What are others doing?

  6. Oh dear I am now very worried. We are booked on the Oriana in 2 weeks time & i am beginning to think we have made a big mistake. From faulty air conditioning, water leaks & dirty tap water, I can think of nothing worse!

I shall be getting off at the first port if we suffer any of these problems!

I cannot understand why cruise ships cannot rectify these problems if they are ongoing & frequent.

It sounds like the Oriana needs a major overhaul & update!

    Watch this space.

  7. We are on the Oriana cruise on the 8th Aug 14. I have read somewhere people have had problems with the air conditioning not working properly in their cabins.

With the current hot temperatures in places we are visiting, I dread not having air conditioning in the cabin if ours happens to be faulty. We are in an outside one, we booked too late for a balcony where we could have opened the balcony door if needed.

Does anyone know if passengers get moved to another cabin if their air conditioning does not work?

  8. We have made a late booking on to the Oriana. Not many cabins left so we settled for Cabin C355 at the rear of the ship.

Has anyone stayed in this cabin & we would also be interested in peoples views on the Oriana as we usually cruise with Celebrity.

Have read some mixed reviews so we would appreciate some more please.
