  1. Hello! I see so many post asking about what happens when a person cancels. Friend might not be able to go on 11/5 cruise. She has Travel Guard 'cancel for any reason' ins. We know she won't get any Carnival fare back from Carnival. Does she need to officially cancel her cruise in order to get her insurance refund or could she cancel for any reason and not show up? She will get back taxes and prepaid gratuities from Carnival. Is there any aspect of my thinking that has me being charged a single supplement? Carnival is getting their full fare. Is there any downfall in telling Carnival she won't be coming? Thanks in advance for your time!

  2. No one else will probably give you this answer - the pork chop on the everyday menu. It's SO good! It is thick and served with a creamy/white cheese sauce, green beans and a chunky applesauce. If you don't find anything that hits you on the daily menu, the pork chop is a wonderful standby.

  3. Hi Cruisers!

     

    I want to take advantage of the 10/20/30% off discounts for two of the bundle spa offerings but it's not applying that (discount) to my order. Do I need to apply a code to get that offer of 10% off my highest price and 20% of the other?

    I just got back yesterday. It was my 4th time on the Dream and the one before was just in February.

     

    Needless to say, she's awesome! We had the new American Table menu this time and we loved that, too.

     

    Perfect size, wonderful crew and a great flow.

  5. I'm very upset!

     

    I am leaving in 4 days on the Dream and my Cozumel excursion for my kids was missing. I assumed it was a computer glitch.

     

    After 20 minutes, I'm told the $159.99 per person excursion had been cancelled today. Odd.... no email about it at all.

     

    Then she tells me that I will get the $320 back in 7-10 days. We are leaving in 4 days!

     

    This excursion is for my two kids and they saved up for it. Why wouldn't they put that $320 on on-board credit so my kids could go on a different excursion?

     

    I understand that tour operators cancel and that banks take time to process transactions, but Carnival should have been proactive and given me the option to move them to another excursion instead of saying that they don't have the money anymore. No pro-activity. No caring. No forethought.

     

    I went up through Guest Solutions and I said that they should make this right by putting the kids on another excursion and settle up with their refund department (I'd still get a refund because it was the most expensive one) but she said that's a different department. It's Carnival and Carnival should have made it right.

     

    I can't believe I'm 4 days out and I have very bitter feeling towards Carnival. I turn platinum and my kids gold this cruise and I'm hoping the anger subsides.

     

    Now.....to tell the kids.

    I'm on your sailing! Can't wait!!

     

    It will be my 4th time on the Dream and I was just on her in February.

     

    The other garages are cheaper but I find the shuttle annoying. Its $126 for the week at Erato. Well worth being right at the terminal in my book.

     

    The ramps to the Dream are longer than others. There are many turns, so he may feel comfortable taking breaks if it's too much. They won't give any consideration to an earlier entry but I don't think you'll need it. You'll have a lot of Southern kindness from the people boarding.

     

    I don't have any experience on the other part of your question. I'm sure your 4th is so disappointed not to be going.

  7. My question revolves around a possible change I'll have to make.

     

    We're booked, 4 in our cabin, on the Elation 8/17. I will find out on 7/20 if my son can keep his spot. If he can't, since we're not on an ES fare, I believe we can change his name to my Mom's name.

     

    I've already purchased FTTF.

     

    My Mom is platinum. If we do change him to her, do we automatically become a 'platinum' cabin with those extras? If so, could I cancel my FTTF for a refund? I'm thinking I'll use that $$$ towards the name change fee ;-)
