  1. I just read all the comments and I thank you.  I have been attempting to book and correct a booking I made for Dec.2  It is impossible to get anything done by anyone.  I hope to speak with my travel planner today to see if she can help.

If not, I will no longer cruise on Princess.  If this is the way they now handle business and I am ELITE.

We absolutely hated Labadee.  All the food from the ship was brought out and left sitting there until it was moved to the area where it would be served.   Pregnant stray dogs were roaming around.  The vendors were so, so pushy( We were told they were " vetted")  A member of our roll call had his credit card compromised as soon as he returned to the ship.  My sea pass card was deactivated( I didn't bring any credit cards with me).  Beware.

I agree.. I rather stay onboard then Labadee.  Not for me.

  3. I will not be one to comment on the bars.

I'd like to point out my observations of the X changes.

We were all disappointed to find out that X has discontinued the Brunch on a Sea Day. It was always a highlight of the cruise. When we questioned the staff on board included Guest Relations, they did not know it had been discontinued and started making up stories until someone did check and determined it has been discontinued on all ships.

Guest Relations needs some customer contact training, may passengers where discussing how rude and indifferent they were and not al all helpful in solving any issue until they complained 3-4 times.

The music (or noise) on deck 4/5 is really bad. Had to block out ears to pass through. No one seemed to be enjoying it.

Also, it was impossible to sit up on the pool deck when the "music" was on.

The service in the MDR and Select was very very slow.

The Tuscan Grill and the Bistro on 5 were the best, as usual.

Waiter service at the Captains Club each evening was also poor.

I cruises on the Connie 8 times in 2 years and I think I may have to look for another . Prior to this December we always felt that the Connies'

crew and staff were the best.

  4. I am a NUT for the Bistro. When I embark it is the best. A nice atmosphere and good food without the hassle of looking for a table or waiting in line at the buffet.

This is a way to start a vacation on a quality note. The deserts are to die for and always a nice soup and great salads.

    Well worth more than $5.

  5. Welcome to the Elite Club on the Connie.. the perks are much better than RCCL and the Captains Club each evening 5-7 at the reflections is outstanding..view, mixed drinks and hot and cold snacks served.

Also the continental breakfast in the Tuscan is very nice.

There will be a welcome letter in your cabin upon arrival and it will list all the "special" things for the Elite members.

  6. I've been on the "Connie" 8 times now and I think the crew members are the best.

    Everyone has always been excellent.

I enjoy the solarium and the health food bar in the solarium.

On boarding I always go to the Bistro for lunch ($5) but it really starts the cruise out with a quiet , lovely setting.. no lines etc and good food. It opens at Noon the day of embarking.

  7. I also was on the 1/20 cruise. I tip my hat to the crew for having to put up with some of these sub-humans. I personally reported a few incidents to Guest Relations by phone and in person.

It would be sad if people stop cruising on the "connie" because of this group.

I sailed on her 6 times last year and hope to be onboard again in March/April.

The best times (this trip) were when "they" were off the ship in CZM or up at Reflections each evening for the Captains Club and also in the Tuscan Grill ( my favorite ).These people should be ban from Celebrity and I did call and write to Corp.
