  1. we ended up keeping the adjoining 6133/35 inside, and they LOVED them!! Lots of storage, and practically a private lobby to watch the tree lighting/70's party, etc. We had a balcony nearby so the kids could come enjoy that with us as well. They felt they had plenty of room by putting the 4 kids in the one inside, and mom/dad and 1 yr old in the other. One of the 4 ended up sleeping in our balcony stateroom most nights, but if anyone has any worries about that location, they really enjoyed it. No noise at night so everyone got a good night's sleep. They are going to try the family promenade inside #7307 next cruise and we will have another balcony for 4 across the hall.

  2. Yes, keep watching for new cabins to become available.

So, just so I understand: You want one balcony cabin plus two connected cabins?

Must they be connected, or could they just be adjacent?

There is a pair of connecting Promenade cabins on Deck 7.

must be connecting :-). Yes, we want 1 balcony and 2 connecting on the same deck. The other option is for a family stateroom that holds 5 and another inside or oceanview. There were no family staterooms available this morning, and no balconies on 7, which would have worked with the connecting inside cabins. We will keep looking. Thanks!!

  3. What are the other options? I would not knowingly choose that location.

What is the date of your cruise?

12/11 out of Galveston - they need adjoining inside cabins. The only other option today is 7131/33, but there are no balconies available on 7. We have a balcony, and they would like to stay on the same deck and general area so the kids can move back and forth without having to leave the deck.

I'm thinking something might open up as PIF date gets closer?

  4. I would keep 6231 (our favorite cabin on this class of ships is 6135 in the same area) for the reasons I mentioned in my post above

Donna, we just booked 6133 and 6135 on Liberty, and my DIL is worried about the Star Lounge being underneath. Honestly, it's about all that was available, but there are some other options. You think it will ok? I just need some reassurance for her. This will be our first time on RCL!! Thanks!

I see you actually answered that above for the 62XX cabin. Sorry. any other input you might have?

  5. On embarkation day, you are supposed to be out of your book usually no later than 9 AM. When a ship is delayed several hours or a full day like the current cruise, what do passengers do? Are they allowed to go back to their room? Does dining still run the regular schedule? What happens to ship's activities? Any purchases are only done by cash?

I was on the sailing last week, and we were delayed by about 4 hours. Our original time to be out of our cabins at 8am was officially changed to 10am, but our cabin steward kindly let us stay for as long as we wanted as long as we stayed in the living area so he could change the beds and clean the bathrooms. We left the room at 11:30. They didn't announce the change to 10am, but we called the front desk to get the information. There were a ton of people who vacated their rooms at 8am. We went and had a leisurely breakfast, returned to our room where we stayed until 11:30.
