  1. Thanks to everyone for the comments. This pretty much solidified our decision. We typically do a standard balcony room on the past cruises we have been on but since this one is for our 10 year anniversary we wanted to do something a little larger. We decided on going with the Aft Wrap cabin. We too prefer more outside space than room space and it is just the wife and I, so the larger room certainly isn't worth the extra $1,000.

Thanks for all of the feedback!

  2. We are looking at a 5 day cruise on the Carnival Sunshine leaving out of Charleston in June of 2020. We are thinking of doing a suite on this cruise but the cost difference per person between the balcony and the suite is about $500 per person. I have never been in a suite room (balconies only) so I was curious if the suite is worth the additional $1000? Any insight? Thank you!

  3. We sail on the Oasis on 4/23/16 and I was looking at booking a cabana. It says on the website that you can book on board only. However, it will still let me add it to My Cart and put in credit card information to purchase. Has anyone else done this and it work?

I didn't want to put in my credit card info and then get billed and get on the ship and they say I don't have a cabana because it is onboard reservations only. Thanks!

  4. Just returned home today from our trip and a little info on the Hilton.

Arrived at the hotel around 10 am got our day room, dropped off our stuff and headed to the beach to find a chair, no problem.

The resort is very nice and a lot of fun stuff to do. We booked and paid for the room directly with The Hilton for $240.00 for 2 adults and 2 kids 11 years old.

The cost for transportation round trip was $20.00 each, no problem.

Value for the money spent was 6 to 7 out of a 10. Would we do it again if returning to Mobay? Probably not mon!

But, we did enjoy ourselves and glad we did it Mon!

    I hope this helps.

    :D

Thanks for the update on your trip and glad to hear you enjoyed your time. So with the price you paid for the day room, you were able to have all food and drinks included as well, correct? How was the food? Buffet set up or did you order from a menu?

Also, you said $20 RT per person for the ride their. So since it was (4) of you it cost $80 in transport?

  5. Yes and check in time is 10 am checkout is 6 pm.

We are doing this on August 11th 2015 on the Breeze.

I will do a small review of how it went.

I do not perceive any hiccups as I have a con# and everything.

Great! I'll be looking forward to your review. Have a great trip!

  6. Yep. I booked a day room for 4, 2 adults and 2 kids 11 years old for $240.00

I did not call the Rose Hall directly though. For the price I am OK with what we get.

My son like the kayak and hobie cat so it is worth it for us.

We will have to get our own transportation at the pier, should not be an issue.

That is a good idea. Do the same check in rules still apply like if you were really staying there; not being able to check in until 3 or 4? So you just booked directly through Hilton?

  7. I did not use points. I made a reservation with a CC. I called Hilton 1800# not directly and booked a day room with them. We will be there on the 11th of August.

Probably wont use the room, but for what we paid no big deal.

I know this did not directly answer your question. But.

So you booked a room for the day and you can enjoy all the amenities of the resort such as food, drinks, pools, facilities, etc., for what you paid?

  8. Just got off Silhouette yesterday - it is a standard Pack'nPlay (not Graco brand though so I don't know if the sheets are all the same)' date=' and they had sheets for it, I wouldn't bother brining your own. They changed them frequently.[/quote']

Even better! Thanks for letting us know!

  9. We have requested a crib for our son on our upcoming cruise on the Summit leaving this coming Saturday and I was curious if any one can confirm if these are cribs or pack n' plays? Does anyone have a picture? We just need to know what kind of sheet to pack. Thanks!

  10. We had to pay Papa after the tour so you will need money for that. Both places the beers are pretty high. $7 at the snorkel spot and I think they were $6 at the other place.

Yea that is pretty steep for beers. Thanks for the info!

  11. Sorry for the delay. We didn't get the lunch that was offered. I did bring snacks that we never ended up eating. Papa offers some beers and rum punch on the way back. We did by a few beers at both stops. Both stops have beautiful bar/restaurants.

That sounds great. Are beers reasonably priced and should we take cash?

  12. Yes we did this and we had a wonderful time. Here's a picture I took along the way. St. Lucia is very beautiful.

Thanks for info and picture. Did you all get the lunch that they offered for $15 or did you get something from the restaurant?

  13. We also toured with Nature Isle Explorers on our recent cruise. We did the Ti Tou Gorge, Trafalgar Falls, and the Champagne Reef. We had a great experience and I would highly recommend Donaldson to anyone looking for a great excursion in Dominica.

He was very informative, friendly, and the safety of his guests was a top priority. The Ti Tou Gorge was amazing! The water was pretty chilly but it was totally worth it. Once you get in the water and start swimming through, you don't even think about it. Make sure that you jump off of the waterfall inside of the gorge if you get a chance.

The Trafalgar Falls were great too. Also here they have hot springs which were great after the cool water of the gorge. Donaldson also took myself and another guy in our group up to the base of the falls where we swam in the pool right under the falls. That too was an unbelievable experience.

Lastly, the bubbles that are expelled out from under the rocks at the Champagne Reef was a neat sight to see. We also saw numerous different types of fish and also a couple of iguanas on the walk down to the reef.

We had a great day with Donaldson and if I ever make it back to Dominica, I will be sure to book another excursion with him. :)
