I am sure this has Been asked before. I did go through a number of pages of forums and didn’t find it though.
Doing a Carnival cruise returning on Saturday, March 6, 2021 to Port Canaveral. Then still have to travel to Orlando airport to return to the Midwest.
The folks that I’ve done this in the past what’s the earliest flight that you would recommend?? I’ve done quite a few cruises but not out of Port Canaveral/Orlando airport.
Thanks so much everyone have a good weekend, Lydia

Although I have been on a lot of cruise my next one on Anthem of the Seas will be my first on Royal Caribbean. Really looking forward to the next adventure but have questions as to booking items.
. I have prepurchased a two dinner package. I was able to book Chops, but not the Italian restaurant. When can I book that or do I have to wait until I am onboard?
. When can I book entertainment?
. when can I book for the sky diving simulator and the 270 thing?
.finally when can I finish our registration and get final docs?
thanks so much. Lydia of Ohio

We stayed here at the Hampton Inn Brickell in downtown Miami. It was reasonable and you get a suite. Walking distance to a great Cuban restaurant and a Publix where we go some wine to take onboard. Normally stay in Ft Lauderdale but wanted to experience Miami for a change. It was a nice change.

JB thanks so much for your assistance. To make things simpler I had a brain storm and went in to the Royal Caribbean website and made s mock booking for airfare.
Nie I can just mimic what times they would recommend which shows a 14:05 as their earliest recommendation.
But thanks so much for the help!

Good day,
Need your advice. Sailing next July on Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas.
Debarking on Sunday July 19th and will roll our own luggage off the ship.
Will grab a cab and then take the National Express Bus back to either T5 or T2/T3.
Hoping to take the 8:00 bus. National Bus states to allow 3 hours for bus and then grab your flight. That would mean. 11:00 flight or later.
Do you feel that is realistic or should we shoot for flights after say noon or 13:00??
I appreciate your input. We will be flying back to the US. Lydia

We’re porting at A Coruna next May and plan on going to Santiago de Compostela, we’ll probably do a private tour with Spain Day Tours as we’ll be six.
Funny you should post this. Since my original posting have done more research and we are booking same side trip and same your company. Spain Day Tours have gotten good reviews and the cathedral looks fantastic.

If going in the summer Gijon has nice beach
Would like to do a beach. Do you happen to know which one you are thinking of. Playa El Arbeyal looks to be 24 minutes from the pier. San Lorenzo looks very nice but over an hour away. Thanks.

Good morning,
will be cruising next year and would love to have some input and suggestions on the following two ports. I have looked on Rick Steve’s and Travel Advisor and there isn’t a lot of info other than the basics. If you have traveled here what did you do, what did you like, etc. thanks loads. Lydia

Thank you Bob. Booked Premier Inn I do wish they had an email contact but phone only.
-
Alaskan I had not noticed that hotel. Looks like it fits for us and might be a great possibility. Thank you. Have you stayed at the Premier Inn Victoria?
-
Folks,
thanks for the input. Yes I am watching the expenses as for a hotel as long as it has the basics, clean with friendly staff I am set. Size of room not an issue as we will be going on a cruise after a couple days in London so that room will undoubtedly be smaller.
The info on “air con” was helpful....although at first blush when air con when mentioned I could only thing if the Nick Cage film, haha.
i do like being so close to Victoria train station and tube station. But as a backup I have also booked the Doubletree Victoria at 2 Bridge place, also right at the station. A bit more money but not much charm more modern.
Anyone here have any input in this hotel?
thanks again. Lydia
ps for those if you living in London I do hope it cools down a bit for all of you.

Bob++ thank you the restaurant advice. Looked at their website made me hungry already!

Good morning,
I have booked the Beverly hotel in Westminster Due to its proximity to Victoria station in the general area.
Will be traveling to London next July and I have verified that they have air-conditioning.
Have any of you stayed here or recommend it? Just looking for your input as to location and the facility.
Thanks so much.

Thanks for the time you took with the review. Leave Saturday for a Getaway Cruise.
I love a good potato gratin. Here is an Emeril recipe that I made and enjoyed.
You might like it too.

I believe suites have earlier times. Not sure of exact, but again when you log into NCL.COM it will tell you.
-
I am not sure about the payment part but, it would be very simple to find out. Go to NCL.com then into vacation summery. Find explore, then click on dining, then choose a restaurant, it will tell you if you are within 120 days and if you can make a reservation.
Keep in mind if you choose dining as one of your “freebies” then you will not have a charge when you pick them (unless you choose Ocean Club, that was a $12 upcharge that you have to pay for when you book).
IF you don’t have a freebie package you can choose the Ala Cart restaurants and you won’t have a fee, they dont know what you are going to order. But if you don’t have a freebie and choose a flat fee restaurant like the Brazilian place you will be charged when you book.
Also keep in mind that folks say only a PORTION of the reservations are opened in advance so you probably would still be able to get in.
I just want to plan our week in advance. Lydia

Thanks for the help. I was online exactly at midnight and indeed was able to book everything I needed.
The only weird glitch was there were no specialty restaurants taking bookings for Wednesday night of the cruise. That that was a bit odd, but by the next day they were taking reservations.
Now have to find other things to feed my Cruise addiction!

I have been to this port twice and loved it. Traditionally we book excursions from independent contractors, but with that said this is one of the few ports I would prefer going through the cruise line.
There are a number of areas that frankly are not all that safe to tourists.
Our last visit we booked an excursion that was partially walking and partially on a bus. We saw the old town, churches, the inner wall/fort, did the fantastic gift shops that are located in what was once dungeons, took in architecture and saw some great street entertainment.
For more info you might want to repost this in the “ports” boards and I think you will get more info.
PS some friends of mine just returned and they did a Segway tour of the city.
Have fun!
