Thinking of taking the Jade in January and taking advantage of the "free" drink package. I was wondering what types of beer and alcoholic drinks we can get on this ship with this package. My husband is a bit of a beer snob so I don't know if it pays to take the drink package if he is no going to like the beer. We are not big wine drinkers, and that is what most people talk about here with regards to the package. I like a frozen drink to enjoy at the pool.

Thanks for your reply. We are definitely thinking about doing this cruise. We only did a 2 night our of NYC last February and put a deposit down for another cruise so this would be perfect. The ports you went to sound wonderful.

I have read other reports that sounds great so we will keep an open mind.

Wow, what a wonderful review, and you pictures are fantastic.

My BIL and SIL are going on the Jade this coming January and asked us to go with them (most of the same ports you went to on this cruise). We are really torn. We have cruise Disney and RC, Disney being our favorite.

We would love to give NCL a chance but really not sure with all the bad luck and bad food you seemed to have. The ports you went to though were beautiful and we would love to try Little French Key. I need to read some more of your reviews on other NCL cruises before we make up our mind.

We just got off the Breakaway for a 2 night getaway. This was our first time on NCL. We have cruised RC and Disney. Our first time trying freestyle dining. While we liked it, we much prefer having seatings for dinner. Like you stated, I felt like I was just in any regular restaurant - it did not feel like a dining experience. We like eating with other people and have cruised with just us or a group of people.

Just joining in here so I don't lose your report. Love it and all the photos. We will be on the Dream this coming November 10 for a 4 night cruise so I am really interested in how you liked it at that time of year.

We will also be heading down a few days early but plan on going to the F&W Festival. We have done Halloween a few times and love it. I am really enjoying all your photos.

I am up to page 7 but will leave reading the rest of your report for over the weekend.

On another note, are you getting hit by the same snow we are getting here in NJ. I am sure everyone is so tired of this weather. Just talking about cruises is making the snow seem not quite so bad.

Seating seems to be a hot topic. We have never cruise on RC before but will be cruise in 2.5 weeks :o.

I have a questions about the WJ. When you go in is there a host that sits you (I guess not judging by these boards) or do you just go up and get your food. Also, is there wait service to get you more drinks and clean the table - or do you go up and get more drinks yourself and clean the table yourself?

Another thing I saw here was people cutting in line. What if you have already waited in line, gotten your food and started eating and then decide you want more of something (maybe you want another slice of bread). Normally I would just walk up and get another slice of bread. Not sure how the buffet is set up but I do not want to wait behind lots of people for just one item.
