  1. I agree with this (although they aren't $500). The cabana can be a nice added touch, but certainly isn't a requirement to have a great time.

Cabanas on Serenity (Adults only) are $399. Family Beach Cabanas are $499. That is about as close to $500 as you can get. :)

  2. We're getting ready to book a Western Carribbean Cruise on DCL. Our last cruise was on DCL Dream Stateroom 11004 (conceirge level) ~ loved that room as the verandah was on the bump and we had the extra deck space...we're going on the Fantasy for our next cruise and the only concierge level room available is 1100 (in between a one bedroom stateroom and the spa). I was told by a Disney Rep that this room is a handicap stateroom...

    I have three questions:

1.) Anyone know if the verandah is the same size as the other family staterooms in that category?

2.) Being next to the spa area, is that stateroom noisy?

3.) Is the view on the verandah obstructed in any way due to the fact that it's so close to the front of the ship?...

    Thanks!

Question? Do you have any pictures of room 11004 veranda or the room itself? Or know where I can locate those. I have this booked for Sept. & I have researched high & low to no avail. Thank you.

  3. I think some of the recommended tips are ridiculously high. For instance, the stateroom attendant gets $28 per person, so for my family of four that is $112, or $16/day to make a bed and put clean towels and an origami towel animal on the bed. In the best hotels, I tip housekeeping $5/day and they are putting clean sheets on the bed as well. How many rooms does each attendant service? Same with the wait staff...they told me they generally service about 16 people per seating, so 32 total, times $28=$896 a week. Some may tip less, but some also tip more. If that is tax free and they get free room and board, that's a pretty decent salary for a job that doesn't require a college degree.

A housekeeper in a hotel also makes at least minimum wage. Stateroom

    Attendants do not.
