Here is a dress I ordered online. My dilemma is, I am packing ocean blue heals for some other dresses and was wondering if I could get away with wearing them with this dress, even though it is basically green. The other heels I am packing is a tan color, so I guess I could wear those.
If you accessorize with blue jewelry it would work, pretty dress. Also looks like it would be equally cute with a pair of Havaianas

I adore Jams World (may have mentioned it, and honestly NOT affiliated!). They have such amazing vibrant prints. Anyhow back to the hanky hem dress....my metallic belts go from über skinny to 4" with nada in the middle. Tomorrow is darned near my final packing day...be prepared for a barrage of questions:D
So, I will thank you in advance for your help!

hotcarib, Guess what??? I LOVE the blue/green dress!!! But if you aren't comfortable you should return it.
Thanks so much, that makes me feel better. I think I have to keep it..and WEAR it as DH mentioned how pretty it would look at Le Bistro:eek: I guess I just need to sort a different shoe. I have a pair of Ted Baker~and if I can ever get out of this darned kitchen I'll try to snap a pic.

I think I'm always happier like this:

Hmm,
I originally paired it w/gold strappy sandals but didn't like the look. I do agree about the belt! I love asymmetrical hems, but I think my sticking point is the hem AND the pleats~ a little OTT. HMMM:confused::confused:
-
Thanks ladies,
I really like the dress when I walk past the mirror and catch a glimpse but face to face (much as I adore boho) it just seems off:confused: Still and all I may keep it as DH likes it so much~probably all comes down to room in the suitcases. This is our longest (11 nights) cruise and packing is proving vexing.

Return right? DH LOVES this, but me.......
Thoughts?

It's not cruise wear but I got this Ralph Lauren sweater dress in the style on the left but the color of the right.
I wear it with matching plum colored tights and black knee high boots or with black tights and these booties.
Love this!

webecruzin2, I love the red of that dress. Very pretty!
Globetrekkie, all the dresses are fabulous! I love the geometric black and white one. So striking!
Porthopper, as always, lovely choices!
royalcruz, love the red dress!
hotcarib, that's a sassy look. Love it!
Here's my latest purchase. Why do I like dresses so much??
SEXY!
I adore dresses too. Quite frankly they are the easiest garment a woman can wear...no decisions other than jewelry and shoes:)

WONDERFUL thinking! And looks so cute!
Thank you!!!

HotCarib, That is a very artsy outfit...I love it!
Thanks, It's one of my many Jams World skirts;-)
I have 5 more on the way!!!

This Christmas will be our first AZ cruise. We like to dress up on X and RC on special evenings.
I know AZ is smart casual and I'm aware of what that means of course, but I couldn't pass up a very pretty lacy knee length cocktail dress.
Would that be out of place at Christmas eve dinner? Too dressy?
Or should I just stick with a sparkly top?
I'm the shy type and don't want to stand out in the wrong way.:o
I've attached a photo from google.
I think that's a gorgeous dress!

I have decided instead of skinnies my casino attire will be this:
I have about 15+ of these and I can be comfortable in the casino with the mini and leggings. If I bring the skirts I can wear them during the day, negating the need for day dress, evening dress and jeans for the casino
Skirt, leggings, cami, cardi

These are some party dresses that I recently wore:
Love your style, and the skull scarf!

Hello Ladies,
as promised, I'm posting all the dresses I wore during my Thanksgiving cruise one the Allure.
We almost did not make it as our flight from Paris was cancelled and rescheduled the next day. Thankfully, we had flown one day ahead just to be sure.
The bad news is we had planned for an entire day of shopping at Sawgrass Mills, so we had to say bye bye to this... But I did not give up entirely, and after our long transatlantic flight on saturday, we arrived at Sawgrass at 7PM, this left us 2.5 hours to shop, even though we were really tired.
I scanned all the shops that I prefer, and ended up buying 4 cocktail dresses, one evening bag, 2 sweaters for my husband, some lingerie at Calvin Klein that someone from home wanted me to buy.
So I was frustrated by the lack of time, but I'm still happy that I made the most of it.
Now I'm posting the pictures !!
The dress I wore for embarkation day, bought at Nautica, perfectly themed for the occasion I thought.
The dress for the first night of the cruise, bought at Sawgrass
The dress I wore for the first formal night, this one I ordered on the internet
The third night dress, bought at Sawgrass Mills (Neiman Marcus last call, this is a Kay Unger, and I like this blue)
The fourth night dress, this one is a dress I bought a long time ago but that I was not able to wear because of my weight gain, so I was so happy to be able to wear it now
Here is my fifth dress, bought at Sawgrass, I wanted to have dresses of different colors and style.
The next dress to be followed in the next post...
Lovely!

stunning
Love that first one!

I've been gone for a couple of weeks but wanted to get these up. Then I need to see what everyone else is wearing! First up is a dress I wear often. It's so comfortable! Yes, I look silly here.
I got this for $25 in a local store. It's perfect for a Fall cruise and very comfortable.
This is one of the two new dresses I recently bought. I wish my legs were just a tiny bit longer. As always, I have to wear dark hose with my shorter dresses. *sigh*
Here's the last one. I think I like this one the best, though my husband likes the one just above this more.
All are lovely, and you wear them well!

Ok, I know I already shared some dresses but I've found THE dress finally! It was only $15 on clearance, originally $150. Score!!
Gotta love a deal!
Looks fab!

I suppose but was not always sure what pics were of. We are on the Sun in Jan. and would have loved a little more verbage.
While I understand what you are saying I think you are under valuing OP's time and effort in creating this thread. I for one know just how much effort is required to post all the photos. Also, if you posted, or IM OP I am certain he would love to share details. We leave on this same itinerary/ship on the 11th and have so valued this thread.

Hi Ladies!
I'm new here. My husband and I are taking a 5 day to Mexico in March for our honeymoon. We have actually been married six years, but never got a honeymoon. We almost lost him this year, and decided to stop putting it off and finally have some "us" time (we have five kids).
I'm glad to find you all, I love dresses and dressing for cruises! I'm a fluffy gal and I love to find bargains so it can be challenging.
Here are the three new dresses I've picked up so far:
And the two I have that I'll be taking again:
If anyone knows so good bargain sites for fluffy size dresses, please share! I'm always looking for more!

okayyyyy... but what does getting drunk or gambling have to do with a written cruise review. I guess u just dont post port or ship reviews, but that is okay. Dont assume I wasnt impressed, just wondering.
Not certain about the drunk comment (inappropriate~much?) but I for one appreciate the fact that a picture is worth 1,000 words!
-
Thank you! I'm hoping next cruise is more dressy because I have some great dresses to take!

I love the shoes I bought just can't remember where I got them!
This was a great buy I got at Kohls on clearance

This is a dress I bought at a second hand store was a good bargain too!

Was disappointed that people didn't dress up much on this cruise, I'm guessing that it was because it was a 4 day and a 3 day, everyone was much more casual. I like dressing up but felt out of place.
Love them all~and you shouldn't feel out of place as all of them are fairly 'casual' dressy. Absolutely cruise appropriate...not to mention they look great!
