  1. We were on our largest cruise ship last week - Carnival Conquest - and DH really did not care for the size. He said that he liked the sizes of the Carnival Inspiration and the NCL Sun much better. To him the Conquest felt crowded; more cabins but the public space felt the same to him as the smaller ships. I agree that there were times when the Lido, both outside and buffet area inside, had tons of people around, but I didn't think it was too bad.

After hearing him complain, I was SO glad that we were not on the Carnival Dream, our initial booking for Summer 2012. I fear that we may never cruise again, since the vessels keep getting larger and larger. I really was hoping to try Sunshine or another cruise line with a lot of activities for everyone, but I just don't see that happening, now.

Anyone have recommendations on ships that feel less crowded? And, yes, we must travel during peak times, due to school-aged children.

Sunshine will be worse more passengers less space then Conquest

  2. We have seen a list of Platinum cruisers. I started that post long ago..

We have also been told there are over 3000 Milestone cruisers.

Just wondering ... how many Diamond cruisers are there...

Start a list... add your name... and repost... just wondering what the total will be...

  3. Joff Eaton...fabulous sense of humour....He reminds me of John Cleese from Monty Python....I also really like Kevin Spacey...I also like Ken Rush.. The more I think about it, I guess I like a lot of them..I am easy to please (lol)...But Joff is still my favorite...

I actually met John Cleese on the QE2 was lucky to chat with him for 5 or 10 minutes the CD was ironically named Andy Dinsdale as Dinsdale Piranha was a character in a Pythons sketch

  4. My wife and I are taking the Crown Princess from Ft. Lauderdale to Civitavecchia, Italy, arriving 12 May 2012. Is there a train that runs from Civitavecchia to Fiumicino Airport? How far is the train from the piers and about how much does it cost?
the train station is a 5 minute wak from where the shuttle drops you the local train from civ is 4.50 euros and i believe its 15 euros for the express to airport
