Thanks for posting about your trip. We are leaving next month for the southbound trip and can't wait. Great to see your photos!

Thanks everyone for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the video. To answer some of the questions:

 

- The trip was last June and we hit several days of record highs. It was 95 degrees in Talkeetna, above 90 in Denali. The cruise part of the trip was more normal but still plenty warm.

- I don't remember the cruisetour number but it was 5 nights on land starting with the first night in Anchorage, then 1 night in Talkeetna, 2 nights in Denali and the final night in Alyeska.

- We saw the black bears on our seaplane glacier tour which we did in Juneau. As far as suggestions for tours, all of the tours we went on were fabulous except for a jet boat ride we did in Talkeetna. All of the tours were booked thru Royal except the whale watching tour.

This year, I believe, it is Cruisetour 5B but last year it was Cruisetour 12 (They changed the numbering system.)

The land excisions can be booked with your Adventure Specialist once you arrive in Alaska. They will not be open for booking before you arrive.

Our group would frequently stop late night at the Promenade Cafe for cookies and milk. The first two nights it took awhile to get the milk - they only had a few at the cafe and probably ran to a kitchen somewhere. For the rest of the cruise, the milk was waiting for us each night!

Thanks again for all the great pictures and notes! I am not going until next year but this makes me feel like I'm almost there now! The Alaskan Wildlife Conservation Center looks great. It is not on the cruisetour I am taking but we are going to Anchorage early and may take advantage of the time and go there. Thanks for sharing
