  1. We will be in #2268, just two doors up from yours, next month. How was your steward, we are pretty easy-going as far as that goes, really the only thing we ever request is ice every day. Just wondering if we will also have Enrico, and what to expect. Thanks for your review, it makes our wait more bearable.

Our steward, Enrico was wonderful. We had friends who were in 2272 and 2268. They had a different steward so can't speak to how he was. Sorry

Yes, we did play trivia pursuit and other trivia games and won two "Dingy on a Thingy" or better known as "Ship on a Stick".

  3. We had FTTF so we boarded early, took our carryon's to our room and decided to go to Cucina del Capitano for lunch. Lido, Guy's Burger, etc... were crowded but very few people in the Italian restaurant. Very nice and relaxing...

    Stateroom 2276 - Cove Balcony

Electrical outlets - two US 120V standard and one 220V

We brought regular 10 and 15ft extension cords and duct tape so we wouldn't trip over them. Also brought a clock with two extra plugs.

  5. As usual, I'm missing something in this thread. Isn't ANY passenger regardless of status or purchase of FTTF able to carry their luggage on as long as it meets the "measurement requirements" and can be scanned during checkin? However only pax with the elevated status or FTTF can take their luggage directly to their cabins once they board. I understand the use of porters, that with FTTF or status they get delivered sooner to the cabin, but I did not think just bringing your bags onboard was any sort of "perk".

The ONLY reason that I mentioned FTTF in my original post was to give a reason as to why I wanted to bring my bags on myself (i.e. room would be available so I could drop them off). Sorry for the confusion this seems to have caused. But I do appreciate the responses. I did not think about the size limitations. Assume I can find them on the Carnival site?

  6. Ok... OP here. Wow. To be clear, all I was asking was if I can carry on my bags versus waiting on them to be delivered. Since I have FTTF, I would be able to immediately drop them off in my room. However, I did not think of the size of the x-ray machine. So I guess the question is now moot since my DW and I will each have a large piece of luggage (7-day cruise).

  7. Since you have FTTF please remember to have the porters put the orange FTTF luggage tag on your checked baggage if you want to get it earlier, otherwise you will get it at the same time as the rest of the passengers.

Thank you for the reminder! I remember reading this a while back but have forgotten.

  8. We will be boarding the Breeze next Sunday. We have FTTF and an arrival time of 10:00 - 10:30am. Haven't been on a Carnival ship since 1986 and hear things are a little different now. So..... looking for advice on what to do on that first day. Lunch and/or dinner advice for first night would also be much appreciated.

  9. I just sailed the same itinerary on the Dream. You can find my review of Jamaica on this board. My advice, stay on the ship and enjoy the quiet time as others go on land. The other ports are far better than mo bay. I'll not go back to Jamaica. Just my opinion.

You know what, done deal. We are staying on the freaking ship! We have long time friends staying on the ship, so we can enjoy some less crowed time with them.

  10. I could be crazy, but I thought I recently saw a post about Sunscape having an adult pool. It could have been on my social network roll call, though. Anyway, it seems they liked the resort & the fact that it does have an adult area. If you are on social network, search for your ship & sail date and see if there is a page set up for it.

Not sure what you mean by social network? Is that a specific site that you are referring to?
