I am sorry...I sure do not feel good when I am charged $27.00  PLUS  TIP for a wine that I can buy at the  grocery store for  $4.99.....Even fancy resturants don't up the price this much....

Did they have frequent lectures on the cruise...did you attend, was the information worthwhile?

Now I am getting hungry

Hey....the Last PUB type lunch I had on a Ship was Norwegian Jade...had the fish and  chips....the fish was greasy and the chips were limp....If they have this on the the Royal, I hope the food is better.

Certainly hope they have more selection than was posted... No 1.  Do not eat Gyros  No Lamb for me... Could live the rest of my lfe with out a taste of rhubarab.

Would go for a good Philly Cheese steak and fries.

ok with wine check...it holds 12 bottles...what happens if you are only allowed 2 bottles...are you saying that the booze cops don't check the number of bottles???

Anyone know what is going on with Croisieres de France? I can no longer find any cruise information...have they been absorbed?

We took a tour with Sinorama Tours which included a 4 day cruise on Yangtzee . What a great tour....Price was WONDERFUL...and everything was good. Only thing to say was that the stops on the Yangtze are not all that easy to board the ship... Late April 2016

Hi all... putting the last minute items into our suitcases...making a list of last minute items to do when we leave the house at 4:30 tomorrow morning for the airport and our flight from Palm Springs to SDO...

Hope all are getting set for the cruise.

If all goes well a week from this time today, we should be in Santo Domingo..this will be3 my first time in Dominican Republic...sort of looking forward to sampling some good rum. Any suggestions?

Glad you'll be joining us Judy! My husband and I are from Texas too! We booked an airbnb apartment in Barcelona. Stayed in one there last October and couldn't have been happier. We're at a B&B in Santa Domingo but she only has the one room so that won't help you. Check this thread for where the other's are staying.

From info I received, the ship departs at 23:00 (11 PM) that is past bedtime for me...

Did you experience any CDF policy on "bring aboard" wine or liquor? Would bringing on board a bottle of quality rum from Santo Domingo or Martinique be confiscated or allowed?
